The 18-year long reign of Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) has finally come to an end in Louisiana. In a landslide victory in Saturdays runoff election, Republican Bill Cassidy defeated the incumbent and captured the ninth Senate seat for the GOP, capping off a victorious midterm election for his party.
The road was rocky for Landrieu from the start. The public found out about her improper use of taxpayer funds, then the fact she doesnt even own a home in Louisiana. Then, she dissed her constituents. Because of all her missteps and Cassidys growing lead, Democrats quickly gave up on Landrieu after the general election on November 4. Now, its clear Louisianans have given up on her as well.
And with that, this very long midterm election is over.
I’m looing forward to Obama Impeachment proceedings. The House has to start it, and then the Chief Justice of the Supreme is to preside over the trial in the Senate, where a 2/3 vote to impeach is required to put Obama out of office.
GOOD NEWS FOR AMERICA!!
Judge Jeannine covering it at midnight..
Yup. she called him conceding.
ABC called it about when AP did.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............bacon!
So quit. Give up. If it doesn’t make any difference, why are you here?
Wow - the media found as evil a picture of Cassidy as they could find. I’ll bet he looks a lot nicer than this sunken-eyed Frankenstein captured in this photo.
“Landrieu loses reelection bid in Louisiana to Republican challenger Cassidy”
“Nothing from the 0bama networks or Channels, which is not surprising”
Note what AP says in their story:
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/democratic-louisiana-sen-mary-landrieu-defeated/ar-BBgqrML?ocid=AARDHP
“But in a state where 73 percent of white voters on Nov. 4 told pollsters they “strongly disapproved” of the president, that was enough to prevent Landrieu from finding her footing.”
Implying that Cassidy won because of WHITE RACISM, while they never mention the percentage of Blacks supporting the Democrat.
Recent history supports my pessimism. Every time the GOP is in a position to fundamentally change things, they cave, they capitulate, they cower, they kick the can down the road.
I stopped voting a long time ago. Why? The GOP never does what they say they’re going to do, and the Democrats always do what they say they’re going to do. When the GOP becomes genuinely anti-establishment, anti-crony-capitalism, anti-foreign intervention, anti-Fed, pro free enterprise, pro school privatization, and balances the budget without a tax increase, I’ll be optimistic.
Have you ever run for office yourself? Perhaps you could effect some positive change.
In other words you do nothing, then bitch.
Great strategy. A real winner.
Because if you’re a pessimist, you don’t get let down when someone fails you.
