Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu isn't running against President Barack Obama, but she might as well be.
The president is intensely unpopular among white voters in Louisiana, and Republicans and Democrats agree that dynamic could doom Landrieu in a Dec. 6 runoff against Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy.

Why dos she represent a place she hasn’t lived in in decades? The voters of LA must be desperate to have let her ge away with this.
Automatically, she gets the black vote in Louisiana. That’s about 35%. Also, the teacher’s union, government deadheads, and courthouse crowd all vote for her.
That puts her at nearly 50% from the start, at least in the past. So she never had to get much crossover vote to win.
This time, however, she’s going to lose 60-40. She really flaunted her connections to Obama, and basically told her voters she didn’t care what they wanted.

Probably closer to the 41% she’s getting, as there is a LOT of overlap between the groups.
Here problem is that she still hasn’t been able to give the vast majority of white voters any reason to vote for her, so she gets 18% of them.
The most important change is the demographics.
LA is more white, less black, more conservative and it has changed from a Democratic into a Republican State.
The math is just against Mary Loser. Add to that her liberal voting record in Washington and her being out of touch with her own state.
If she survives, its a political miracle. She’d better pray she finds one next Saturday.
Remember after hurricane Katrina, Houston took in more than 200,000 Chocolate city refugees. Even Philadelphia, PA imported 10,000 of those welfare leaches. More than anything, that is why Louisiana became republican.
Yep - and the real irony is that even though it means getting rid of her, there are those on FR who would argue that nobody should bother to vote for Cassidy because he just ain't conservative enough.
/trebb....
Even Maness is backing Cassidy.
Actually, for me, this would, no other gifts included, be one of the best Christmas presents I have received in a long time!
did the blacks flee to Houston, to Texas?
To get rid of Landrieu, I’d back my toaster...

She’s a member of a Louisiana political family. But, these dynasty’s are crumbling. Examples, Landrieu /Louisiana, Pryor/arkansas, Udall/Colorado. And, there’s hope in Massachusetts, as there are only remaining a few drug addled Kennedys.
The state’s newspapers have also helped keep Mary propped up. The (New Orleans) Times Picayune, The (Baton Rouge) Advocate, and the Gannetoids in Shreveport, Monroe, Alexandria, and Lafayette.
But the influence of newspapers is waning fast. Mass layoffs, fewer readers, etc.
Every voter, in the great state of Louisiana needs to turn out and vote against “Obamabot”, Democrat, low life, Mary Landrieu on Saturday, December 6, 2014, thus, massively defeating her and ending her political career, forever!!!
If there is any African-American that votes for Landrieu, they must be high on reefer or just simply insane. Both Obama and Landrieu....in power for the last six years, have done absolutely nothing for Black folks....except make the living and economic situation worse....economic slaves.....stuck on the Obama/Landrieu plantation, forever!!!
Wise up.....Black folk in Louisiana......a vote for Mary Landrieu is a totally wasted vote. VOTE FOR BILL CASSIDY!!!
They been punishing anybody speaking French Acadian in the school yard for years.
As for speaking spanish its OK, protected species. You know.
