Oliver Friedfeld, a senior at Georgetown University (GU) and his roommate were recently mugged at gun point -- but Frieldfeld says he deserved it because of his "privilege."

In an oped for the GU newspaper, The Hoya, Friedfeld wrote that he "can hardly blame" the assailants for robbing him. He argued that income inequality is to blame for the incident.

"Who am I to stand from my perch of privilege, surrounded by million-dollar homes and paying for a $60,000 education, to condemn these young men as ‘thugs?’ It’s precisely this kind of ‘otherization’ that fuels the problem," Friedfeld wrote.

Are we to infer that the assailant was Black? Then, by saying that Blacks who commit such heinous acts get a free pass, by saying that the issue of "race" should be taken into account in evaluating the morality of such acts, the victim is tacitly admitting to being racist, right?

And are we to suppose that the assailant somehow "knew" how much the victim's tuition was? That the assailant took this into account in deciding whether he would attack him or not?

Just like a rabbit, some animals are simply prey. In the bunny’s case an ability to breed rapidly and in seemingly endless numbers is the counter balance. But people like Oliver do not procreate or only in very limited numbers. And lack of any survival instinct almost assures a well deserved spot on Darwin’s scrap heap.

But here’s the thing. It’s wrong. It’s completely and utterly wrong and wrong-headed. As a liberal you must defend the principles of liberalism. The rule of law, the social contract, the social capital that is built up through generations of people working together in harmony for common goals. Criminals break all bonds of social behaviour. They neither know of, nor care about, the hard won principles of civilisation. Who are you to condemn it? Well, who are you NOT to condemn it? Who do you think you are to give away the principles of civilisation so cheaply? Who are you to normalize muggings and violence and to shrug your shoulders as if they are nothing? The social contract relies on both supporting its principles and on the censoring of those who break them.

Notice how he complains about “privilege” yet does not kill himself. If he truly believed that, he would off himself, as his existence surely harmed millions of people by his sheer “privilege”.

Now we know why the GJ announcement was delayed. Yes, they wanted to make sure the college idiots were out on break so they could fill in for the black protesters who had grown tired and gone home. They'll have to be back in class Monday because finals are coming up. Wait a couple weeks for Christmas break and that’ll be about the time a civil suit can be filed against Wilson or some other staged outrage like Holder leaking the federal investigation.
