House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is drawing a parallel between President Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation and President Obama's planned executive actions on immigration reform.
"Does the public know the Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order?" Pelosi asked at a news conference Thursday morning.

It could only affect the status of slaves in those areas of the Confederacy (an entity never recognized by the U.S. government) under Union Army control and by inference that of its commander in chief, which at the time were considerable and only grew as the war went forward. So the question is does Obama consider the entire United States to be in a state of rebellion, and does he believe (more importantly do the people who would put this order into action believe) that he has any authority to ignore and overthrow existing law in the absence of such rebellion? Pelosi is nuts but even more so stupid to make this comparison. If it’s war that they want they may just get it.
“How much Obama DNA can this woman ingest???”
Since she never shuts her mouth, we can only assume it’s an endless amount.
LOL. I hear ya...
No, and that’s what we’re observing. She doesn’t have a clue what valid reasoning entails.
Liberalism is a disease and Nancy Pelosi is in the end stages of it.
Basically true and what's worse it was the first departure by a President from the strict restrictions imposed on the office by the Constitution and set the precedent for a lot of the fooling around with our Republic that has taken place since, Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, LBJ....etc.etc.
Thank you for that analysis.
The difference for the old bat doesn’t seem to be that blacks deserve freedom from slavery while Mexicans do not deserve to be citizens.
We should declare war on Mexico.
Her husband has huge bucks, which undoubtedly have increased thanks to back room deals. Same with Diane Feinstein.
> How we burned in the camps....
Indeed.
But that was a different time, different place, different people group, with a vastly different history.
You may be right, but I’m thinking that a backlash is brewing that the demagogues have not considered, and that among the very people they plan to “rescue” with this “immigration” edict.

The number of immigrants added to the labor force every year is of a magnitude not seen in this country for over a century. If this huge influx of mostly low-skill workers threatens to depress further the wages of blue- collar Americans and put strains on an already overburdened safety net. (The opinion of the anti-illegal-alien crusader Barack HusseiObama from his 2006 autobiography The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream)
Obama had super majority in both cameras during the first two years of his presidency, but he didnt give the amnesty during his first 100 days as he promised to those living illegally in the country Furthermore, as senator, Obama opposed George W Bush when the republicans tried to give a legal status to those living illegally in U.S.
Blacks are going to be the main collateral victims of Obama's anti-Black amnesty. Black Americans are already suffering higher unemployment since Obama took power. Obamas new class of protected immigrants will take over their jobs and Blacks will be forced to share their welfare checks and food stamps with them

Thanks for the reminder. I might have to alter a certain meme.
