Clay Aiken isnt the only one smarting over his failed attempt to become a congressman in North Carolina. RadarOnline.com has learned that the 35-year-old former American Idol contestants baby mama, Jaymes Foster, 50, is also deeply disappointed he lost. According to a source, a win would have meant she could have petitioned for a reduction in the $7,500 child support payment she must give Aiken every month.

Its perfectly reasonable for a healthy woman to have a baby when shes 50. If she hasn't experienced menopause it is.

The men on this board are forever up in arms about paying child support and now theyre complaining that one of their own is getting it. I dont understand. I haven't seen Freeper men getting upset at men having to pay child support. Alimony, however, is another matter entirely.

Must have been a donor egg. By 50 chance in downs syndrome and other genetic problems get to be 1 in 10 or worse. Chance of miscarriage goes to 50%.
Don’t know if she has other kids, but to have your first kid at 50 is pretty much impossible without a lot of intervention.

He never was fit to be a parent. This proves it again.
Poor little child that was used as a void for his insecurities. He uses everyone that comes into his life.
Glad, the teddy bear won American Idol.

How mean of people to expect Clay to work to support his child like other and lesser people. I am so proud to live in Raleigh where he had such support to get a job he could have still done nothing in. Of course I meant not one word of this!

It appears he had a sentimental attachment to the woman, at the time. Perhaps his mother-figure.
