Radical liberal feminism the kind that likes abortion on demand and taxpayer-funded birth control has been rejected at the polls. Or, at least, its been a really rough week, or so. And Im not just talking about the fact that Sen.-elect Cory Gardner effectively pushed back on the war on women narrative by defeating Colorados Mark Uterus.
The story also played out in Texas, where writing about the race Mollie Hemingway observed: Wendy Davis was the face of War On Women Politics. Howd that go? And it played out in California, where Sandra Fluke lost a bid for the state Senate.
And! It played out all across the nation, as conservative women won historic elections. As I noted at The Week: West Virginia Rep. Shelley Moore Capito and Iowas Joni Ernst, for example, will both become the first female senators ever elected from their respective states. New Yorks Elise Stefanik last night became the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. And Utahs Mia Love became the first Haitian-American member of Congress. I could go on (Meanwhile, it was a slightly less good night for liberal female candidates like Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes.)
But culture is more important than politics, and it has also been a rough few days for the war on womens cultural voice of her generation (okay, voice of a generation), Lena Dunham.
Lets start with the fact that in spite of appearing in Rock The Vote PSAs, urging young folks to rock their vote in the midterms, Dunham was among the many celebrities who didnt bother to vote in the last midterm.
But her troubles exceeded this evidence of rank hypocrisy. After conservative writers noted some disturbing revelations in her new memoir, which they argue constitutes sexual abuse of her younger sister, Dunham entered a rage spiral on Twitter, canceled public appearances, and threatened legal action against the conservative site Truth Revolt.
Check the last link in the article to Truth Revolt. I did and I think I have to wash my monitor and keyboard. Dunham is a sick, perverted, sexual predator who used her infant sister and then wrote about it in a book she authored. By any legal definition she is a sexual predator. But, she's a liberal feminazi so getting her in court ain't going to happen.
I thought that was pajamaboy.
I now refer to this as the “collapse of the UTEROPIAN society.
She got a rich boyfriend

yet another article that fails to include Clay Aiken
Tough night for Dem celebs.
Maybe Ashley Judd was smart when she declined to run against old Mitch McC.
lol
seems like it
taxpayer-funded birth control
Thanks to that part of ObamaCare our SINGLE 30 year old son’s health care monthly premium DOUBLED! And being a single man on an individual policy he CANNOT USE birth control pills, IUDs, etc.... But has to pay for it, with his part time job....
no time limit? is this true? because someone tried to molest me when I was about 12 years old. I assumed it was way too late to charge him with his crime...
My comment was mainly to point out that questions don’t have to be true (especially those of a reporter, say - they do it all the time). For her whether true or not, it would have scared the crap out of her.
Truthfully, I don’t know but there are some crimes that don’t have a statute limit per se. If I recall correctly it depends whether the crime was known or evident at the time by LE. I seem to recall one or two cases where instances of “recovered memory” have been used to charge molesters going back years. I also note that there are a lot of instances re: priests where victims spoke up years later. I don’t know whether they were actually charged or not. Regardless of the actual formal charging, I believe civil suits may be different.
If this happened to you, you should consult a lawyer or legal aid to find out the specific law(s) that may be operable in your case.
