The problem with videos like this is that they can ignore dozens of students who actually have a good grasp of history while they cherrypick the morons, making it a waste of time.
I think you over estimate the non moron contingent by at least 70%.

Before anyone gets to college how much America history should they have been taught?
1 or years in elementary, 1 or 2 in middle school and at least one in high school.
What was being taught instead of American history?
I went to Tech a few years ahead of you. When I was there the keynote speaker at the new law school dedication was Raymond Burr. I was part of a group the believed it should have been a real lawyer and we lobbied for the Texas AG, but got nowhere.
