Hospital officials say a New York doctor who became infected with Ebola while treating patients in Guinea has been upgraded from serious but stable to stable condition.
The New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation issued the upgrade for Dr. Craig Spencer on Saturday morning.
The agency runs Bellevue Hospital Center, where Spencer has been undergoing treatment since he was brought there nine days ago.
The HHC has said Spencer is receiving therapies that have been effective in treating Ebola patients at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and at the Nebraska Medical Center.

Glad to hear he is getting better. Hope no one giving him care gets infected.
Thanks for posting, I’ve been looking for updates to his condition.
Looks like he's recovering very, very slowly. Have a bad feeling...
It may be due to his condition when first treated. With this one, early treatment is vital. At least it appears so.
The only guy to die so far was a raging cauldron of infection by the time he was first treated.
Can’t let this one get a head start.
Brincidofovir was not working, so I suspect it is transfusions.
While true, there appears to be a strong correlation with age as well. 40+ = death sentence at around a 97% chance. Duncan was 41.
This doctor was 33. Pham and Vinson also under 30 I believe.
Duncan’s family will be upset. That still makes Duncan the only person not to survive .. and the only black.
That could be true. I would be interested in his condition on first treatment. If he was only mildly showing symptoms, then I’d say your premise may be more accurate than mine.
It would be so useful to know about organ damage and how ‘the cured’ ones will live out their lives. i.e. his/her kidney at 70% or 95%, liver, all the attacked organs measured.
I just found an article that states that 45YO+ fatality rate is 94%, I guess my original statement was too high, but there is still something to it.

How is the hospital able to tell the public this, with HIPAA?
A friend of mine has a son workinq at University of Nebraska Medical Center. When his mom asked him on the phone about the Ebola patients he blew up at her, saying that 6 people had already been fired from there because they had answered friends’ questions about what was going on.
She didn’t ask him how UNMC knew what had been said in private conversations...
Seems like the hospitals are allowed to share when things are good but not when they are bad. If so, silence speaks loudly.

Nancy Writebol, the Nurse and missionary partner of Dr. Kent Brantly, is 59 years old and SURVIVED. In fact her blood plasma was used to help Amber Vinsons.
Both Writebol and Brantly were given ZMapp.

Knowing full well the risks involved, the uber-selfish bastard copped a FU attitude and put the lives of thousands at risk.
Disdainful While Infected x10x
When will he be better enough to go Ebolaing?
Good when he’s well enough revoke his pass port and send him back to Africa permanently
“n article that states that 45YO+ fatality rate is 94%”
That’s puuuurrrrrfect for Obamacare goals.
I agree. Good point.
Why the report today? This is old news, already reported Sat. How about his condition on Monday?
Smells like feel good BS leading up to the election, thanks to our new ebola czar.
