I see that Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that he is gay and thanks God for this gift. In a separate story, I see that he is widely quoted in the business press as anticipating an "iPad Christmas". I also notice a picture of a Christmas tree at Apple Headquarters in an insider newsletter.
Recall earlier this year that Brenden Eich was forced to resign as CEO of Mozilla because it was revealed that he had donated to a ballot initiative that opposed same-sex marriage. It was claimed that his donation showed that he deserved to lose his job because it was claimed that he opposed equal rights for gay couples.
By his actions, Tim Cook acknowledges that Jesus is important to his employees and to him personally. Otherwise, why would he cheer selling a lot of iPads for the holiday that celebrates His birth?
But if a person wants to actually study the words of Jesus, and shapes his thinking and actions based on those words, how should he react when Jesus clearly speaks to the topic of sexual morality? How should he react when he knows that God could not bless anyone with a gift of a behavior that He declares to be detestable? How should he react knowing that should he make his opinion public that he could suffer the same fate and public humiliation as Brenden Eich did?
If advocates of same sex marriage want to be consistent, they must now repudiate Jesus and anything associated with Him including Christmas. Are these people proud enough of being gay and or supporting equal rights for gays that they are willing to stop observing Christmas? Or will they just re-imagine Christmas to suit their agenda? What does that make them?
As a Christian, I now know enough about Christmas to not observe it for many reasons, but it still makes me mad that people like Tim Cook and the fawning business press are happy to let him claim that God gave him such a morally repugnant "gift" and then he goes on to embrace the very symbols in this society of the One who defines sexual morality.
I demand that gays and supporters of same-sex marriage repudiate Christmas just as vigorously as they repudiated Brenden Eich.
Would AIDs so also be considered a gift from God?
LOL, someone from Apple with Religion ,right ,from money to religion
Since I learned the president of Apple was gay, I want to get rid of my phone. I don’t want the gay thing in my pocket!
Everyone in the “gay” world knows what “gift” means.
“I’m Dreaming of a Gay Christmas
Just like the ones that never were.....”
I’m an Apple fan, but if the company decides that its purpose in life is to advance the cause of fudge packing, perhaps it’s time for me to revert to Microsoft.
Please, oh please, Apple, don’t make me do that.
How?
Simple. Advertise your products and keep your home life to yourself! In the case of gays, tmi is TMI!
This thinking fits right in with Joel Osteens crowd, Oprah Winfrey and apparently the Catholic Church.
But real Christians such as Franklin Graham know better! I am with Franklin Graham, Tony Perkins etc
Some radical types say that AIDS became so bad because Ronald Reagan didn’t do enough to fight AIDS. Which in turn was due to his alleged homophobia.
I know its a bizarre thought process. But some radicals instead of blaming the behaviors which spread AIDS, blame Reagan for not devoting public health resources to finding treatments and a cure.
I always knew those apples were always just a bit too fruity
making it easy for me to break the apple habit !
hello Google!
> Would AIDs so also be considered a gift from God?
He’s talking about the “god of this world”. Satan.
HOMOSEXUAL, because there’s nothing GAY about it.
the Catholic Church.
Not yet.
On what do you base your assertion that this thinking “... fits right in with ... the Catholic Church”?
I probably know more than the author but I still celebrate the fact that a large portion of the earth's people take the time to celebrate the fact that they have a Savior, with special focus on the love and charity He taught.
Why did Tim Cook feel compelled to proclaim his gayness and come out of the closet? This ruins the Apple mythology for normal people. Apple is an embarrassment.
“Oh you people are just a bunch of Apple hater bigots!!!”
-FR Apple worshipers
Mr. Cook probably takes part in promulgating the “Queer Jesus” heresy.
For starters stop using the word “gay”. Call them what they are: deviants, sodomites, queers, fags... Don’t let them hijack our language too.
