HOW GERMS SPREAD
Whats the difference between infections spread through the air or by droplets?
AIRBORNE SPREAD
Airborne spread happens when germs float through the air after a person talks, coughs, or sneezes. Those germs can be inhaled even after the original person is no longer nearby. Direct contact with the infectious person is NOT needed for someone else to get sick. Germs like chicken pox and TB are spread through the air.
DROPLET SPREAD
Droplet spread happens when droplets that are coughed or sneezed from a sick person splash the eyes, nose, or mouth of another person, or cause environmental contamination, like a soiled bathroom surface or handrails, from which another person can pick up the infectious material.A person might also get infected by touching a surface or object that has germs on it and then touching their eyes, mouth or nose. Droplets generally travel shorter distances, less than about 6 feet from a source patient. Germs like plague, meningitis, and Ebola can be spread through large droplets.

Although they say it's NOT airborne, because it floats in the air after the infected person walks away. LOL! Oh and of course they do not give you a specified time period. Really???
So the CDC says in order for something to be "Airborne" has nothing to do with the way it travels, IN THE AIR, but if it "FLOATS" after the infected person walks away.
Well here is Webster's Dictionary definition of Airborne.
Airborne: done or being in the air : being off the ground: as
a : carried through the air (as by an aircraft) b : supported especially by aerodynamic forces or propelled through the air by force c : transported or carried by the air
I'm calling B.S.
Where are they studying this transmitability at such that they are changing their BS line on a daily basis now?
Hey where is that Freeper who keeps claiming she is a Scientist and you must be within 3 feet for a PROLONGED TIME to catch Ebola?
Wonder if she is ready to concede she is wrong.
But.....but.....but....the CDC said it WASN”T AIRBORNE!!!! The CDC is an INEPT GOVT. AGENCY!!!
SO many Freepers have lost brainwaves lately!! Used to be the SMARTEST people on the WEB.........
Anybody with a functioning brain stem knew that the CDC protocols were BS.
At least this kind of info helps make more sense of what is going on in Africa. There couldn’t be that many people kissing dead bodies but folks in groups coughing on each other, that makes sense to me.
They are looking silly now...
Indeed...
Thanks.
Bottom line: the so called experts are a bunch of idiots.
And yet, Kaci Hickox is allowed to be three feet or more from another person. What's wrong with that picture?
PING!
1. Ebola update: Maine judge rejects quarantine for nurse Kaci Hickox [Must Remain 3 Ft]
2. CDC Now Says Ebola Droplets Can Spread Six Feet, Not Three
I have read in some posts that a sneeze can spread up to 20 feet.
Add to that the fact that ebola and other viruses can survive several days out a body and even in the dried-out state — on door knobs, etc.
CDC is still playing a guessing game while trying to maintain a political balancing act.
Ah, “that wormy looking thing” that they keep showing on all of the news programs.
Warm weather is the only thing keeping this virus from being airborne.
