WHO: Reported Ebola cases jump to 13,703 (30+% in four days)

The World Health Organization says the number of reported Ebola cases has surpassed 13,700, a jump of more than 30 percent since the last numbers were released four days ago.

Dr. Bruce Aylward, assistant director-general of the WHO, said the big jump in cases is likely due to previous under-reporting.

As of Wednesday, there have been 13,703 reported cases of Ebola, the organization tweeted, with 13,676 of those in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the three most affected countries in this outbreak.

The fatality rate in those countries has remained consistently around 70 percent, Aylward said.

Speaking to reporters in Geneva, Aylward said there is some indication that safe burials and education efforts in Liberia are improving, but he cautioned against assuming that Ebola was coming under control there or in any of the three countries most affected by the disease.

He noted some encouraging signs, including the opening of the first community care center in Port Loko, Sierra Leone, a smaller facility designed to isolate and provide basic care to potential Ebola patients.

How convenient.

The WHO physicians are paid shills for the drug companies, who want to put goo in your body and enrich themselves at the expense of their hapless victims.

Swine Flu part deux. ...

That’s how geometric progressions work. It’s 1-10-100-1000-10000-100000-1000000-you’re dead.

Couple that with they actually don’t have a clue how many really there are, and it’s a total CF.

Agreed. I have no trust in any of these people.

I don’t know what is going on in Africa, but a few weeks ago, at least one country and maybe more, cracked down on the “free” press.

Double last months total in less 30 days. So, 28,000 for November. We’ll see what happens.

The knothead at Reuters thinks that ‘cases’ means total cases reported over all time. ‘cases’ means currently open cases.

So if extrapolated, that means everyone is dead before June, 2015. Instead of Dec 2015.

Maybe I’m the only one who noticed that for the previous three weeks or so there was no reporting on just how many Afreekins were chucking their lunches? I noted it was curious at the time. But now it’s important again? Maybe it’s just that the one trick ponies in the MSM can only deal with one active thot at a time? Somebody want to ask Brian Williams where Doc Nancy is?

Due to previous under reporting.

Ah. So these numbers aren't under reported.

Good to know.

Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your......

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Yet the nurse can tell the government to go to hell and go off to Maine and spread the disease. Rush was talking about her today. A big Obama, lefty.

“the big jump in cases is likely due to previous under-reporting.”

Doing headcounts in Africa must be challenging. Especially when for whatever reason, government does not seek an accurate count.

This is the frightening thing.
For each person ill, it takes probably 3-5 medical and support staff minimum.

Unless you stack them up like cord wood and let them die.
This is going to get much worse.

“And the deaths are still at 4,800...after 2 weeks”

The 2,000 that died in the past two weeks didn’t die, they left the “Life Force” voluntarily.

NO, the Liberia personnel taking care of the numbers of cases were not getting them recorded. Now that soldiers are there and implementing changes I guess the numbers are catching up....the deaths will probably catch up within a week or so.

There was a media report on TV that showed the soldiers setting up and getting organized to help get the situation under control regarding testing that had taken weeks down to about four hours.

We will see huge numbers changing, and maybe they are counting victims as well now.

The number was 10,000 about two weeks ago...so yes it’s 30% more, but is that because the count is now fixed or there are that many more cases?

The 10,000 number was worldwide numbers....WHO is a worldwide organization. So if that 3000+ is all from Liberia then the situation there is worse than anyone thought, or maybe it’s all of the African countries affected?

What’s alarming is the numbers they’ll be posting in another month, 3 months, etc.

....”fatality rate in those countries has ‘remained’ consistently around 70 percent”....

So much for sending billions of dollars there that has not made a difference in the spread nor the duration of the disease.

Might be the Globalists simply want to cultivate all the resources in Africa and “need” cures for this stuff before they can move forward in order to get people to work on all the projects and getting them set up..

Makes me wonder are they using our military to do more than set up makeshift clinics?...or are they actually building buildings to further accommodate the peoples health needs so they can later continue with raping the country? This administration is never "compassionate" toward any unless it's politically advantageous and that to funnel money. Never!
