"It was the thing that I could not feel, smell or touch, that I feared the most."
Stunning.
Wow! I feel so bad for these people.
Perfect word
I have been to Liberia. I loved the country and her people. My heart is breaking for them.
Include these people in our prayers.
Powerful images. I am reminded that while we live in our own insulated little towns and homes, there are people half the world away who are living and dying in conditions under which I cannot even begin to fathom.
God bless them.
Will he be quarantined before he leaves or after he returns or not at all?
Will he be quarantined before he leaves or after he returns or not at all?
Do you think these people care the way the US President has politicized Ebola?
It sounded to me like he was quarantining himself. He mentioned not hugging or touching anyone in his family, and staying in the guest room once he returned.
Isn’t it great that Obama has allowed this disease to come here? It’s just not fair that West African countries have to deal with it, and the USA doesn’t. /s
“When I landed in the U.S., the fear that I experienced when I first arrived in Liberia gripped me again.
“I was anxious. I felt sick. I took my temperature multiple times a day. I confined myself to the guest room in my apartment for days for fear of infecting my family and loved ones. I couldn’t hug my girlfriend, my mother or my dog. I was in a constant panic that I would be responsible for bringing Ebola to the United States.”
Thats the problem I have, He could have easily spread it to anyone on that plane and anyone he came into contact with here.....and then they spread it........and on and on. Scary stuff. But were all overreacting says the dim/libs.
In Obama’s mind (albeit twisted) THAT is a solution.
We need (the WORLD needs) a REAL American President.
I, for one, am extremely happy he finally decided to send in the troops to take care of this. I really wish he’d done it earlier, before Ebola hit the news, although I suspect that if not for Ebola being in the news so much, the troops never would be sent, and this thing would just keep festering and killing people.
Scout haters take notice........ there are two Liberian Boy Scouts in the photo. One wears the World Crest Patch.
Probably not at all as he belongs to that class of people who “really care.”
A concern not shared by CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer and Nurse, Kaci Hickox, who was released from quarantine yesterday because she felt her rights were being violated...
Yes, Hickox believes her civil rights trumps protecting everyone else.
The African Ebola disaster has faded from view in American MSM. We all need to know the severity and mechanisms of the virus. In ages past, we knew as a people quarantines worked.
