In a new video posted online, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claims it has captured weapons and ammunition dropped by the U.S. military that was intended for Kurdish forces defending an embattled Syrian city near the Turkish border.

The airdrops Sunday were the first of their kind and followed weeks of U.S. and coalition airstrikes in and near Kobani.

In the video, ISIS claims some of the weapons and ammunition was air-dropped by mistake on its positions in Kobani.

It will be interesting to see if there will be reports next week about how these arms ended up in ISIS hands “by mistake.”

This is the same military that brags they can pin point targets. This is just a more evidence that ISIS is supported by the the West just as the VP accidentally admitted in a speech not to long ago.

So I’m not buying it’s “an accident” B.S.

Maybe we should “accidentally” drop a pallet of 7.62x39 crates with a percentage of them loaded to the brim with Bullseye.

If W had dropped munitions to the enemy, it would be on every news service, the network news and every newspaper in the country. It’s here and its on Drudge. I would guess the WSJ is covering it too.

Oh sure the video lies that ISIS put on internet showing the dropped items.

ROFL that you expect the leftist media propaganda machines to tell about that mistake.

In defense of the USAF.

Have you ever watched the movie or read the book A Bridge to Far?

If you have no or time delayed communication with the people you are dropping to, some times they are not where you expected them to be. Drops to US troops usually have good communications and precision location data on the drop site. The USAF can drop a pallet into the tennis court of your choice, but only if they know where it is. Seen it.

The guidance package for that kind of drop is expensive though and the AF likes them to be recovered. Dumb drops do tend to disperse somewhat the higher the drop is made from. The more ground fire the higher the drop will be made from.

I’d settle for filling them with RDX, PETN and fulminate primers. That should get the velocity up.
