Well of course, like everything else the shadow of government falls on, this small company no doubt failed to cross the right palms in Washington. This will not happen again, with our new ebola czar/lobbyist/cash-register-in-chief at the helm.
The Centralized Bribery Czar.

LOL, grimly. Must not have made enough donations to the powers that be, eh? Have to have money to make money.

Is there no private money for this?

I have no idea. I suspect that a major issue will be the FDA’s bureaucratic B.S., and that having patrons within the Monster will help smooth that path.

Is there no private money for this? Not during the time of 0bola's reign....not that you'll be told about, anyways.

All they have to do is promise to make sure that most of the grant money ends up back in DNC coffers.

Is there no private money for this? Since Ebola is an exotic disease that only affects a very few Africans, there is no future profit in making an Ebola drug, so investors won't invest in such an effort. Pharmaceutical companies won't spend their research moneys on that kind of development, either. Typically, drugs and vaccine development for rare diseases like Ebola are funded by government.

Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
