The Coming Stock Market Crash and The Death of Money with Jim Rickards
Youtube ^ | 09/18/14

Posted on 10/13/2014 4:37:09 AM PDT by Enlightened1

Jim Rickards, the Financial Threat and Asymmetric Warfare Advisor for both the Pentagon and CIA.

Recently, all 16 branches of our Intelligence Community have come together to release a shocking report.

These agencies, that include the CIA, FBI, Army, and Navy, they've already begun to estimate the impact of the fall of the dollar as the global reserve currency.

And our reign as the world's leading super power being annihilated in a way equivalent to the end of the British Empire, post-World War II.

And the end game could be a nightmarish scenario, where the world falls into an extended period of global anarchy.

Jim Rickards fears he and his colleagues' warnings are being ignored by our political leaders and the Federal Reserve, and we're on the verge of entering the darkest economic period in our nation's history.

One that will ignite a 25-year Great Depression.

Every Freeper should break out a cup of coffee and listen to this. Jim puts it together nicely. I see why the Pentagon and CIA has hired him.

Not to worry. Once the Obola virus has killed two thirds of the world’s population things will be very different.

The issue is very simple.

America needs to bring back industry.

We are buying far too much, made elsewhere.

To bring back industry America must reduce or remove its self-imposed tax and regulatory burdens on industry.

Taxation and regulation keep industry from flourishing in much of America. Government is in the way.

That may be your view.

I believe America needs to start supporting American industry.

GOP, start to defend American industry.

“We are buying far too much, made elsewhere.”

Worse yet, a lot of our military parts are being manufactured outside of the United States.

When WW-II started America was a mighty manufacturing giant in the world and was able to immediately shift production to military hardware.

Today, that would be IMPOSSIBLE. Worse yet, it would take a very long time to “ramp up” production to meet demand and in my opinion it would be impossible to sustain a long term war effort due to these facts.

Long before a pandemic kills 2/3 of any population, the power will go out. At even 1% or 2% mortality, people will self-quarantine at home and refuse to go to work, leading to a crash in the economy. This includes police, medical workers, and electrical power plant workers. It doesn't matter what scenario plays out, at the end of almost every path, the power goes out. If it goes out for even 2 weeks, it may take years to restart it. Once the power goes out, the supermarkets will be looted, the delivery trucks will stop where they run out of fuel, and the cities will explode.

America currently has the highest corporate taxes in the developed world, at approximately 39%.

Also: Americans paid a total of $1.863 trillion in Federal compliance costs in 2013.

How can anyone say that they are serious about 'supporting American industry' if they are willing to leave these crushing tax and regulatory burdens in place?

"How can anyone say that they are serious about 'supporting American industry' if they are willing to leave these crushing tax and regulatory burdens in place?"

Problem is that nobody's "leaving" anything, they're raising taxes.  Obamacare, import tax hikes it's a recipe for disaster being advanced both by the left and folks impersonating the right.   We need lower taxes and less federal control not only for economic recovery but also out of simple human decency.

I’m just saying.

We have been selling out American businesses now for more than one entire generation.

America needs to be for American businesses. American businesses, who hire Americans, in America.

For real.

Would you agree that - in order to be ‘real’ about supporting American industry - Americans must advocate the reduction of the crushing tax and regulatory burdens currently placed on American industry?
