Things are just humming right along:
In what appears to be a significant October campaign shakeup, Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu is replacing her campaign manager and hiring her former chief of staff as a senior adviser.
The Democrat has pushed Adam Sullivan out of the manager role and replaced him with Ryan Berni, who ran her brother Mitchs reelection campaign as New Orleans mayor. Berni is a former aide to Clintonista and Louisianan James Carville.
Polls show Landrieu falling short of the 50 percent she needs to avoid a December runoff, and Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy has a slight lead in head-to-head matchups.
Uh-huh, girl.
Landrieu spox confirms she replaced manager: "Like any of the senator's winning campaigns, we are tightening our senior strategy team…"

I am never an electoral optimist if it requires counting on the GOP not to mess up a pretty good scenario. That being said, much of the behavior from Democratic Senate candidates in these close races does not look like the behavior of winning campaigns. They’re overshooting on negativity, having to pull ads, stumbling through debates and easy questions, and pulling campaign shake-ups in October. The women rhetoric has become so strident it feels desperate, and it’s not working where it’s being used the most. If the battlefield, as Charlie Cook suggests, is Iowa, Alaska, and Colorado, you’ve got to believe Democrats are already in trouble. This behavior seems to confirm that.
Wow, in the 8th inning? Trouble ahead. I am going out on a limb and say the race will be close enough and will be contested.
The dems might have to fire up a record number of dead voters to pull this election off!
My stomach just turned. We can’t let her win again. She is a disgusting progressive who gave LA obamacare. Where are people’s brains in Louisiana. I can understand the 9th ward and most or orleans voting for the scumbag but I can’t see having that many votes to take the election. I AM SICK!!!! We need her out of here NOW. The little egotistical brat let us know that she didn’t care how we felt she was voting for obamacare not only once but would do it twice. AFTER WE TOLD HER NOT TO. She thinks she is greater than anyone else in LA and that she deserves her position. I believe she belongs on a farm somewhere - maybe out of state.

Feels So Good
(Words by Van Halen)
Oh, here we go! Yeah yeah
Yesterday, I saw my love light shine
Straight ahead in front of me
You never really know
When love’ll come or go
But yesterday I was alone
Suddenly I walked you home
I never really knew
What love could make me do
I’ll send the message in a bottle (I’ll send the message)
N’ trust in the mercy of the sea (Oooh ooh ooh)
Stormy weather (Oooh ooh ooh) Oh yeah (Oooh ooh ooh)
Waitin’ for love to set me free
Everyday I watch the tide roll in
Stay until it rolls away
Though nothin’s on the shore
I’m runnin’ back for more
I’ll send the message in a bottle (I’ll send the message)
N’ pray for the mercy of the sea (Oooh ooh ooh)
Stromy weather (Oooh ooh ooh) Oh yeah (Oooh ooh ooh)
Waitin’ for love to rescue me
Hey, Feels so good (So good) Woo!
And it feels so nice (So nice)
When love comes around
I feel good (So good) So good, so good
An’ it feels so nice (So nice) Woo!
Ow! Feels so good
(Guitar Solo)
Yeah, feels so good, woo! (So good)
And it feels so nice (So nice)
When love comes around
I feel good (So good)
Hey, Gonna make her feel nice (So nice)
When love comes around
I feel good, woo! (So good)
So good, so good, so good (So nice)
Now come on baby, make me feel good
(So good)
Get up, get up, get up, get up (So nice)
Uh! Hey baby, I feel good (So good)
Woo! Now come on, now come on (So nice)
Yeah, make it nice. Ow!
So good, so good
Question: What would conservatives be saying ahead of this primary if Cassidy and Maness' positions were reversed?
Strike down voter ID because the dead do not carry driver's licenses. /s
I am going out on a limb and say the race will be close enough and will be contested.
**************
Chances are this race will go to a Dec. 6 runoff. There are nine candidates on
the ballot and Landrieu is polling well below 50% which is needed to win outright.
So many Republicans too believe in their Mary, but hopefully she can be unseated. I am not as optimistic about that as others though.
