Perhaps it is just a false alarm, and Frieden just basically brushed it off as such at his pre-planned press conference. He says the patient is not exhibiting typical Ebola symptoms, nor had direct contact with Duncan.

If it is simply the deputy being transferred to Presby “under abundance of caution”, why the press conference from Dallas? Couldn’t the hospital just have put out a statement saying such?

Oh i know..but that makes as much sense as the post already assuming he has ebola.

The context here is that here we had a patient presumed to have been either cleared of having ebola or was on the watch list making a decision to possibly infect many more.

That fosters no confidence even if it turns out to be a bad burrito.
