“... because a cohort of die-hard conservative purists cannot bring themselves to choose between the lesser of two evils?”.

Well, uhm, jack ass.

That they are on the bubble by their own partt ought to ache their conscience and inform them they damned well better figure out whose side they ought to be on.

I take it the author schilled for Romney?

‘... because a cohort of die-hard conservative purists cannot bring themselves to choose between the lesser of two evils?’

Oh my...so our evil isn’t as bad as their evil. Hmmm, seems this author has gone hook, line and sinker for moral relativism. A reall republican fan by. OK, when both result in evil will he be surprised? I rather suspect he won;t notice if its a republican in office. Said another way, our despot is better than your despot. In the end we’re governed by a despot....how can this be good?

One of the main problems of people of a conservative bent is that they often don't want to be involved with politics and simply want to be left alone.

This is idiocy because THE LEFT WON'T LEAVE YOU ALONE.

I hope if there are any cynical types reading this, they will understand that if they don't pick up the gauntlet and get in the fight, the Left will be kicking in your door and dragging you and your family away as soon as they possibly can.

Since Mitch is not likely to be ditched, Thad needs to be targeted for retirement. He is an egregious example of a Senator well past his expiration date.

dear republican establishment: you want our vote?
give us something to vote for!
we should not have to hold our noses and vote for whatever candidate YOU foist upon us
we should not have to vote for the lesser of two evils.
replacing big left wing government with big right wing government is a no-win situation. they are two sides of the same coin, and neither is supportive of the concept of FREEDOM.

if you don’t give us a candidate to support, why should we support them?
if you can’t listen to us, why should we listen to you?

Yet another rah-rah attempt by the GOPE apologist. These are so predictable at this point. All of the loses are on the conservatives who let the Party down and the GOPE, why they are as pure and altruistic in their actions as the wind driven snow fought so valiantly against the democrats all the while trying to emulate them.

GOPE you treated your conservative base like crap, dumped all over them and called the racist kooks and worse still you actually believed all the BS you shoveled since 2011 and now it’s dawning on you that you might lose and where do you run too? Not with hat in hand to apologize for your stupidity but to give the conservative base another good slap upside the head and then tell them you made me do that to you again, it’s your fault.

I am still amazed at how many “conservatives” still fall for this blather, apologize and make excuses for them and then beg for more of the lash from the GOPE scum.

I see the panic setting in. I see pleas for more money as they are not meeting their fundraising goals.

I SEE HOW THESE A-HOLES F’D THEMSELVES AND NOW WANT TO BLAME OTHERS FOR THEIR FAILURE.

How despicable these people are.

I have often wondered what I would have done on 9-11 trapped on a WTC floor with a fireball raging all around me and a window open for me to get a few seconds of relief from the intense and fatal heat. I would have jumped.

But I would have jumped for those few seconds of cool air and not for the GOPe.

RE:”Republicans must keep the House and win the Senate. Nothing else matters.”

Its not obvious to me that the GOP winning the Senate, especially by a seat or two, will result in anything good.

The one place it might help is blocking appointments,

The GOPe cost us the 2012 election, only Sarah Palin had a good year as she gave us our only Senate seat pickup in Nebraska, and Ted Cruz.

Well, Conservatives tend to vote for the good people in the primaries and then hold their noses and vote for the RINO in the elections, when it is a choice between the Repub Party registered Dem or the Dem Party registered Dem.

But when the Repub leadership attacks the Repub conservative base, small wonder they lose elections. To win, one must have Base + some Independents. The Repub leadership attacks its base to perhaps try to win support from Indies and Dems who are not going to vote for them anyway.

So...vote Dem and get Amnesty and the FSA.
Or...vote Repub and get Amnesty and the FSA.

With Boner committed to Amnesty having sold his soul to Big Business who wants cheap labor, how is he and McSurrender a solution? How often do you see them in the news opposing Prez Obola?

The RNC ARE busy though...not in the news, but sending me 3 or 4 emails per day asking for money, that like a virus, mutate so I can never get them on the spam list...

Until the Repub Party is purged of RINO’s, the American people only get the choice of Dem Q or Dem B.

“Will conservatives lose three elections in a row – three chances to win the Senate, three chances to stop Obama and the Democrats’ agenda, three chances to put Democratic senators up in 2016 on the hot seat by forcing them to vote on popular legislation that liberals oppose – because a cohort of die-hard conservative purists cannot bring themselves to choose between the lesser of two evils?”

Another way the author could have posed the question:

Will establishment Republicans continue to trash conservatives, and push squishy moderates, blurring the distinctions between the two parties and offering no reason to vote Republican, thereby risking the loss of three elections in a row – three chances to win the Senate, three chances to stop Obama and the Democrats’ agenda, three chances to put Democratic senators up in 2016 on the hot seat, because a cohort of Republican establishment pantywaists cannot bring themselves to back small government and freedom so as to give voters a reason to vote for Republican?

quote:”because a cohort of die-hard conservative purists cannot bring themselves to choose between the lesser of two evils”

So by the logic of this author, a battered spouse should continue to support and rely upon his/her significant other because being on their own is an uncertain/worse fate? Or should the cycle of abuse be broken? If the situation were reversed and a slate of conservatives were up in this election would the GOP-e (a cohort of diehard liberal to moderates) choose between the lesser of two evils? We already know the answer to that one, they would prefer to remain in the minority. They would sell out the conservatives in a freaking heart beat.

In otherwords, the GOPe plan for dealing with conservatives who feel insulted by their rhetoric is to double down on insults.

Brilliant, what could go wrong with that.

That's a nice list of talking points that have been handed to the GOP candidates by Obama and the Democrats. So, the question for the writer is, why aren't they using any of them in their campaigns? They should be pounding the Dems over the head with this stuff, but they refuse to do so in most cases.
