At 26 weeks pregnant, Taylor was determined to prolong the delivery for as long as possible, but her liver started failing.
Luke was born weighing 1 pound 15 ounces. Doctors whisked him away to the neonatal intensive care unit at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City before his mother, who was taken directly to the intensive care unit, father or any of his five siblings were able to spend time with him.
Shortly after the delivery, Taylors children and her husband, Nate, were brought in to say their final goodbyes to her. Doctors said she had only 24 to 36 hours to live.
As hours turned into days, Taylor defied the odds and her body began responding to treatment. Doctors started a treatment designed to inhibit cell mutation in her liver, which then allowed them to target the melanoma in the organ. During her initial prognosis, doctors doubted that treatment would reach this stage.
[The doctors] were shocked, Taylor told FoxNews.com. They kept coming back into my room and were really excited that I was improving.

Obama’s death panel would have killed her and Luke.
There are times when the old phrase “You think you got problems?” really hits home. This is one of them. God bless this family.
Amen
Really?
You just have to poke it, don’t you?
That is not nice. I am not a Mormon but, that is uncalled for in this circumstance
Reminds me of a story that my husband’s former boss used to tell. When he would complain about problems in his life that cropped up, his mother would tell him that if he took his burdens and problems outside, and put them into the street where everyone could see them, and his neighbors each did the same thing, that at the end of the day, after looking at each others’ difficulties, every one of them would go back to the street, and pick up their own problems, and take them back into the house with them. No one wants to deal with someone else’s problems. We are given what we can handle, even if it seems impossible at the time.
She told them she couldn’t pay their bill within 24 hours - they gave her more time...
That is excellent. I had not heard it before.
Thanks for posting it.
I love that. Thanks.
The Mormon God can work cures-—Never give up hope! never give up on anyone. The Lord has a purpose for her—maybe its to raise her new baby.
All the way from a different planet?
What's his name? I'd like to learn MORE about this Mormon God.
Does He have secret handshakes and stuff?
He sounds awesome. Tell me of His cures.

What? I cannot think of a reason why a woman would want to prolong delivery. (My 4 deliveries were long enough, thank you.) I suspect the dope who wrote this meant to say that Taylor wanted to prolong the pregnancy.
Please stop trying to hijack this thread.
Thanks.
One Sunday, my priest told a parable of a man who was struggling with his cross in life. The man was granted the opportunity to visit a room and examine the crosses of other people so that he could make an exchange, but he wound up leaving with his own cross.
You claim the Mormons have a God all to themselves?
"The Mormon God can work cures"
Then I point it out and I'm hijacking the thread?
Whatever.
Looks like we have different definitions of "God".
Oh please, stop your virginal protestations. This thread has nothing to do with Mormonism or any other religion — as you well know. You’re here because I handed you your azz the other night on the “Satire” thread. Get over, grow up and move along.
