As President Barack Obama launches air strikes in Syria, anti-war activists are frustrated that he is getting a pass from groups traditionally opposed to military intervention.
According to the Washington Post, only 22 anti-war activists protested near the White House this week, and "it was the latest display of how Obama has neutralized the left."
Left-wing activist David Swanson, "who voted for Obama in 2008 before switching to the Green Party," told the Post that "if George W. Bush were launching wars with Congress out of town, oh, it would be flooded." But he said liberals give Obama a pass because "he’s more eloquent, he’s more intelligent, he’s African American, he bills himself as a constitutional scholar.”
Medea Benjamin of Code Pink said "the black community is traditionally the most antiwar community in this country," but Obama has "defanged that sentiment within the black community, or certainly voicing that sentiment.”(continued)

There are a few reasons for why the protests are light on BOG at the protests.
The are political posers, “Zeligs,” who only care for power, self-aggrandizement, and their petty causes have not see a protest they can hijack yet.
The uninformed and uncaring who believe Clint Eastwood is president.
The democratic party “robo-calls for action network” has not been activated by the imams of the liberal faithful.
The protesters who are scared s**t-less of IS and finally see the threat for what it is. Though this may be a serious minority.
The Gay community is supporting the take down of ISIL.
There are most likely more reasons for the small showings but these are a start.

Exactly! Johnson lied to turn Vietnam into a shooting war, Nixon ended the war, but today LBJ is remembered as a Dem hero and Nixon as a crook. Oh, BTW the VN war protests ended practically the same day Nixon ended the draft.....
