Redskins fans are mad at Phil Simms for his stated desire to avoid using the team name on Thursday night.
Some of them took out their anger by bringing anti-Simms signs to FedEx Field. Simms is part of the CBS broadcast team working Thursdays Redskins-Giants game.

Exactly. I really never heard of this Phil Simms until recently, due to this controversy, but what a pill.

And I don't even like football.
Maybe it's because he's from Kentucky.
Nantz is saying “Redskins” like there’s a quota he has to meet plus the CBS graphics are saying “Redskins” regularly.
And, really, the less Phil Simms speaks, the more I can enjoy a telecast.
As bad as the Redskins are playing, it’s probably a good idea not to say the name tonight.

I watched the game last night and in the beginning they both mostly using Washington. But when it started to go bad Jim started using Redskin. Even after halftime “Phil Idiot” could NOT keep his promise, but saying “Redskin” then correct himself saying “I mean Washington”, LOL. Redskin is much MUCH easier to say than Washington when reporting the excitement of the game. Two BIG buffoons!!!
