It says “Redskins” on the uniforms and on the field in huge letters in the endzone. If Simms felt really strongly about this issue, he would have refused to work the game.

Exactly. I really never heard of this Phil Simms until recently, due to this controversy, but what a pill.

REDSKINS REDSKINS REDSKINS!

And I don't even like football.

[His accent] just doesn’t sound like anybody from TX I know.

Maybe it's because he's from Kentucky.

Nantz is saying “Redskins” like there’s a quota he has to meet plus the CBS graphics are saying “Redskins” regularly.

And, really, the less Phil Simms speaks, the more I can enjoy a telecast.

As bad as the Redskins are playing, it’s probably a good idea not to say the name tonight.

I watched the game last night and in the beginning they both mostly using Washington. But when it started to go bad Jim started using Redskin. Even after halftime “Phil Idiot” could NOT keep his promise, but saying “Redskin” then correct himself saying “I mean Washington”, LOL. Redskin is much MUCH easier to say than Washington when reporting the excitement of the game. Two BIG buffoons!!!
