Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) came to prominence and notoriety when he famously shouted, ‘You Lie’ at Barack Obama during the president’s speech to a joint session of Congress. If ever there was a prime opportunity for a reprise, it occurred during an exchange between Wilson and Secretary of State John Kerry.
Wilson asked Kerry if the U.S. was at war. If Kerry’s response had been a yes or no, the clip below would be no more than five seconds. As it was, Kerry took a more circuitous route to his answer, which was beyond ridiculous. After several seconds of hemming and hawing, Kerry said if someone would like to call it a war, they’re free to do so but that the war is “with this enemy of Islam”.
Yes, in Kerry’s twisted mind, a group that identifies itself as the Islamic State is an enemy of Islam:

Somehow I can’t imagine President Reagan making nice with the enemy. He would call the Muslims what they are: murderous thugs at war with the United States.
And Hitler was the enemy of true Naziism, Stalin the enemy of Communism, and so on.

Maybe what this nation needs is a little of that podium pounding T. Roosevelt to wake people up and tell the Religion of Peace, (hah), to straighten up or go straight to hell. Or we can deliver it to them.
Damn Ebola, damn the poor economy, damn the Ferguson incident. These monsters are THE enemy and they are mandated to kill or enslave everyone who is not muslim.
I think Kerry’s comments are intended for the rest of the Islamic world in some kind of attempt to reassure them Obama is not waging some broader war against THEM but only against these “anti-Muslims”.
Can someone please explain to me why our government is always defending islam but not Christianity?

It is a general question, not necessarily because of this story. Why are politicians, Republicans, too, always defending islam? Are they afraid of muslims? Surely they aren’t stupid enough to believe it really is a peaceful religion when there is no evidence to support that.
