Don't Be Misled: ISIS Is Al-Qaida

War On Terror: Still suspending disbelief that al-Qaida is as dead as Osama bin Laden, President Obama insists that the Islamic State, aka ISIS, is not al-Qaida. In fact, they're the same terrorist group.

The president would have us believe the "barbaric" terror group controlling large swaths of Iraq and Syria just popped up out of nowhere to decapitate Americans and threaten the world. But U.S. intelligence agents know better, and so does the man they brief.

"The Islamic State is al-Qaida," asserted famed former federal terrorist prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy. "It is the evolution of the ruthless al-Qaida division that grew up in Iraq under Abu Musab al-Zarqawi."

Indeed, it turns out that the Islamic State insisted on trading the American journalist hostages they eventually beheaded for Aafia Siddiqui. "Lady al-Qaida," as she's known, is a top al-Qaida operative related to 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Freeing her from U.S. prison was a top priority of al-Qaida's leadership.

"You were given many chances to negotiate the release of your people via cash transactions as other governments have accepted," the Islamic State said of U.S. authorities last month. "We have also offered prisoner exchanges to free the Muslims currently in your detention, like our sister Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. However, you proved very quickly to us that this is not what you are interested in."

The Obama administration declined to consider either option, and the American photojournalist James Foley was beheaded.

And many so-called moderates. They’re all thought to be moderates until they act.

Since the Bergdahl “exchange” things sure have improved, eh?

Great point, I doubt al-Qaeda/ISIS could be happier.

LOL I just posted about that “exchange” and having seen a new video from FOXNews about Benghazi, was wondering if the “5” weren’t the ones that were supposed to be exchanged for Chris Stevens before the kidnappers went into a feeding frenzy, not the tower bomber guy. just wondering.

Yep. They rebranded, turned eastward to pick up a lot of our left-behind war materiel, and are doing our bidding by attacking Assad. What's so bad about Assad? Is he worse than al-Baghdadi?

Ask yourself, had you even heard of ISIS one year ago? Where did they come from? How did they get the numbers and weapons?

We are so easily convinced by the controlled media.

Why stop there? Let’s go to the root of all these terrorists organization. THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD! Trying to lop off one branch of this evil entity, won’t solve the worlds problem. You have to chop off the head of the snake, the MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD. If you lop off one branch of this evil entity, it’ll just grow another branch and call itself something else. Cut the head off and the branches will die out

But John McCain says they are “rebels”.

If they're in Syria, they're freedom fighters. If they cross the border into Iraq, they're terrorists. And if they enter the U.S. illegally via Mexico, they're "Dreamers."

The Muslims made a mistake when designing their “Five Pillars of Islam”, as one can be empirically and unarguably destroyed. This is also the only pillar which can be empirically and unarguably destroyed. It would be a shame if nobody took the opportunity to exploit this.

If America doesn’t get its act together, I’m hoping that Russia or India will pick up the slack. India in particular has an enormous incentive to rid the world of Islam, given that Pakistan is a constant threat to them. The question of what religions the Muslims will convert to or make up after the destruction of Mecca is an interesting one in itself, but the important part would be that Muslim unity would be destroyed and irreparable.

Actually I thought that they grew from Al-Qaeda was why Obama kept insisting on calling ISIS, ISIL - because the second IS meant “In Syria”, and he’s peddling that in fact the group grew from al Qaeda in Iraq “battle hardened” by the war there - blame George Bush for their strength, don’t ya know.......

isis - used by the world as islamic state in iraq and syria

isil - used by muslims like obama to describe islamic state in syria and the levant (meaning israel is not recognized as existing as israel)

Now, that is a fact of life. For some reason, this administration has favored the Muslim Brotherhood as an ally. I could be that our LIAR IN CHIEF is a secret MUSLIM. Or it could be that one of his 1/2 brothers belongs to this nefarious organization. But for only reasons known only to this LIAR IN CHIEF, he has chosen to become ally to the Muslim Brotherhood.

All I know is that this latest terrorist flare up was almost instantaneous just after the release of these prisoners.

The response makes sense. No strongman to worry about, take hostages for trade (then because of the bergdahl backlash no more PUBLIC trades) and Assad has jets whereas Turkey is sympathetic and Iraq was easy pickings. They had been fighting in Syria for a while, but don’t remember when they headed into Iraq.
