LIBs...don’t hold back! To be “fair” the tax should be $100 per gallon with the money going to EBT cards. To not do so is racist and elitist.

Like Europe. $12 a gallon gas all taxes and the people took it without even a lubricant.

I feel sorry for the Freepers that have to live in the same state as all the brain dead politicians they have there.

>> gas tax at 68 cents a gallon
Does that represent the entire tax portion, or just the excise tax?

No griping.
This is what the citizens of the Golden State voted for.
Somebody has to pay for those millions of California illegals getting free everything thanks to a totally democrat run state government.
That’s why it is the Golden State - the illegals struck gold when they sneaked in.

By raising the price, officials hope to reduce the number of miles driven as consumers are forced to consider options. One of those options is hanging of officials.

Any politician that votes for something that has that phrase attached should be hanged as a traitor. Or shot.

(This is America. Assimilate or evaporate.)
The California Air Resources Board, the Golden State's premier anti-pollution agency, predicts the new tax will raise gasoline prices from 20 cents to $1.30 per gallon. So what IS the additional tax per gallon? Are they just floating a trial balloon to see how deep Kalifornians will take it in the ah, er, wallets without squealing too loudly?

The revenue
"to build low-income housing near mass-transit hubs and support construction of the state's high-speed rail project." Low income people aren't going to make a difference, that's a free giveaway to them. And the high-speed rail won't be used by many people, also little effect. This is sucking money out of the pockets of hard-working folks, to throw it away on stupid projects. Again and again, politicians are our worst enemies.

I wonder which political party Lupe votes for...
