He's at it again.......He needs a great big slapdown.

Why bother having congress if this muppet is just going to ignore the constitutional procedure.

That was a different situation.....These are complicated situations and they always will be.

Now that's some situational awareness right there.

He needs to go before Congress and make his case. Even if it’s just with Congressional leaders, he has that obligation. This isn’t a situation where he can’t consult. For heaven’s sake he’s been playing with himself up at Martha’s Vineyard. What’s the hurry now?

The funny thing is, this is one item on which he COULD get Congressional approval. Unfortunately, it would be bipartisan, and make his fondest, farthest left friends, unhappy.

Congress will cower. They want the power for their man when they are in power.

Obama created IS and will protect them
like the Cole bombers, like Hasan,
like the Moslem Brotherhood,
like the “rebels”,
like the Guantanamo released-Generals.

The EXEMPT Congress might get in the way.

Please. He’s trying to prompt Congress into doing something, anything.

Remember, he leads from behind, from behind any cover whatsoever so that if it is unpopular, fails, or otherwise creates dissention in his base and toward him personally, he has cover.

I know many of the congressmen are more adept than this fop. They need to corner him.

Note that the Founding States had made the Constitution’s Clause 1 of Section 7 of Article I to clarify that the House of Representatives uniquely had the power of the purse to stop corrupt alleged presidents like Obama from acting unilaterally from the people’s federal representatives.

However, Obama’s first Democratic-controlled Congress foolishly totally defeated the purpose of the purse clause when it passed the constitutionally indefensible Stimulus Program bill, essentially giving Obama a blank check to do as he pleases, Congress be damned.

He's afraid that Congress will force him to go further than he wants to against Muslims.

Going it alone means barely going at all.

The House should pass a resolution telling Obama he has to get a formal declaration of war or all the Constitutionalists should shut the hell up.

Bringing it to congress will just highlight the fact that we are switching sides again. No one wants to make a speech about how they were wromg before. No one will call him on it.

I'd rather that Obama disintegrate the weapons we gave to the maniacs (and the maniacs) without congressional approval. Who knows what Obama would do if he had a war authorization from congress.

It's Obama's mess that created ISIS from toppling Khadafi and destabilizing Assad. Let him undo as much of the damage as he can.

Congress needs to demand the opportunity to debate the war. This is a war with a declared state, not some shadowy “terrorist” group. They’re organized along state lines and need to be treated that way.

Declare war formally and fight them like Sherman did - humiliate them, turn the populace against them, destroy their economic and financial centers (which aren’t necessarily in the same location and may simply be individuals) and use the Geneva Convention to do it. Hang as spies/saboteurs combatants out of uniform after harvesting any needed information.

These executive office shadow wars are an abdication of Constitutional duty.
