Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon, who yesterday said he was “thunderstruck” to learn how militarized police in Ferguson had become, signed off as recently as January on statewide participation in a Pentagon program providing local police departments with surplus equipment.
In authorizing Ferguson police and other local law enforcement agencies to apply for firearms and other equipment, Nixon also directed his administration to “conduct management and oversight of the program,” documents show.

Well, the attack on the police based on the shooting officer’s actions didn’t work. I guess this is the only alternative still left viable at this time.
In a riot situation, were the arms the police had, the cause of trouble, or was the massive misinformation foisted off on the public the reason.
Here we are focusing on the police once again, when members of the public, the press, and various outside interests demand just that. Another words, we’re doing the work of our enemies right now.
We are attacking the police, just like the NAACP, the race baiters, the president, the Justice Department, the Governor, the State Police (in effect, belittling the local police in the process), and others want us to.
The militarizing of police is an important issue. It isn’t at the moment.
The first job right now is restoring peace. The second job is undoing all the damage by the media and the race baiters.
When this has settled down, we can take on what was a non-issue here.
None of the supposed military weaponry was used. The supposed 50 caliber weapons were not fired. I’m not ever sure that’s what they were.
Those police deserve some support right now. They are the ones that will bring this back under control. None of the outside influences will.

Yes, this is the same governor who mocked the suggestion that his administration was sharing MO concealed carry permit holder data with the IRS. He called it a crazy conspiracy theory. Except the person he appointed director of Revenue and the man he appointed to head the Highway Patrol admitted that they were sending that data.
