Headed right toward where my wife and I are located on the East side of the Big Island. Although hurricanes striking the Big Island are pretty rare this one appears to be a strong possibilities. Requesting prayers from FRiends.

Prayers for all of HI. My husband and I are scheduled to fly to Maui on Tuesday of next week, so we are quite upset to hear of these “once in a lifetime” double whammy storms!

Heading out shortly to top up the tank and get couple hundred out of the ATM. My nerves are getting a little agitated. Walking with thoughts and prayers heavenward.

I guarantee that we will not hear the words “weather is not climate “ in news coverage of these storms.

Well the rains have begun and the breeze is picking up. Gonna take a hot shower now, hopefully it won’t be my last for a while if the power goes out. I’m fully expecting loss of power. It is a regular occurrence here and I can’t imagine it not happening during this event. The big question is how long it might be out for. Got my cash from the ATM and the car tanked up.
