Chief of Staff directs all of the primary Staff Officers, to include the G-3 (operations) and G-2 (Intel). He is the conduit of all information between the Staff and the Commander.
He will wield a tremendous amount of authority.

Well in reality its more of a liason job as all 28 members of NATO retain complete sovereignty and decion making for their country.

Thank you. I admit I am ignorant about Military protocol. It’s nice to get input from those that were or are now in the Military. I really didn’t know whether this is significant or not.
I didn’t know either with the downsizing. Reading the speeches/messages about the “new Army” from the US Army Europe Commander has been “enlightening”. Are all the top Brass now PC Political hacks?
