Democrat Senators Kay Hagan of North Carolina and Mark Pryor of Arkansas have both now warned Barack Obama against taking any steps without the approval of Congress" when it comes to dealing with the current illegal immigration crisis.
Im not for government by executive order. He needs to have statutory authority before he acts, said Pryor. Meanwhile, via Politico, a spokeswoman for Hagan said, this is a problem that needs to be solved legislatively and not through executive action.
Additionally, Democrat Senators Landrieu of Louisiana and Begich of Alaska are also urging Obama to act with restraint. We want him to be careful not to go too far, said Begich. Politico defines his stance as something of a "red line" for Obama.

After re-election is secured, they go straight onto their backs, legs up, begging Obama for a belly rub.
Every one of these gutless wonders was the deciding vote for ObamaCare. He would also have their votes for amnesty and anything else he wants.
Vote them OUT!
Might get THAT from Barry the Fairy, but if it was Bubba Klinton ....
You mean he can’t just destroy America without your consent? Since when?
It sounds like some democratic politicians from southern states have been getting an earful from their constituencies. Obama has gone too far in this game and now even Democrats are concerned about it. He fancies himself a God-king however so he’ll do whatever he wants to do anyways.
So lets say Obama ignores the will of some of his own democrat senators, and his actions embolden the house to seek impeachment.
Something tells me the there are enough RINO’s in the senate that would not vote to convict and that Obama knows this to be true...
I think they are concerned about November. If Obama waits for Congressional recess in a week, and then "acts because Congress won't", it might cause a major midterm backlash. After November, that would be a different story for them.
Dem Senators in red states...making believe that they oppose Obama
Yep, it is just pre-election posturing. Their real message was “don’t do anything until after the election”.
The truth of the matter is very simple, and it could be obvious, But I doubt that.
It is this:
Democrats are the only ones with the real power to impeach this guy.
Any time talk of impeachment starts it gets stopped with-but the dems won’t allow it.
He could be impeached if the country turned on that, and demanded it of enough democrats, democrats would never do this to one of their own without being forced.
It is they who are allowing all of this.
Republicans went through the bubba wound and anger him impeachment and that was when they had a hint of testosterone.
They’re not doing it.
Not even after the election. No matter who wins.
But dems could move on this and make it happen in a flash.
If their constituents figure that out along with how bad Obama is, that would be at least interesting. Unlikely, of course.
But dems could impeach him very swiftly. There’d be no obstacle.
Of course they’d replace Biden first, and with some awful Marxist, and who’d win in 2016
I think the point is the Constitution gives the immigration power to the CONGRESS, not the Executive. “a uniform law of Naturalization”. No where does it say the executive, not even one who is an illegal alien, has this duty.
If their constituencies were writing them letters informing them that they had better grant amnesty or else, they would be singing a different tune. That isn’t the nature of the letters that they’re getting however. I think the Democrats are divided now that they have all seen how Obama’s immigration game is developing.
I wonder about constituent letters, based on my own experience. I just about never communicate with my Senators and Representatives, because they’re liberal, and I feel like I’d just be wasting my time. I think they’d only react if contributors were bitching, not constituents at large.
I laugh at this charade. The Democrats warn him... LMAO.
What Obama is about to do, is something they all want to do.
Obama wants it. The Democrats want it. The Republicans want it. The Left wants it. The GOPe wants it. The RNC wants it. The Chamber of Commerce on main street USA wants it.
Overreach? Seriously?
Technically they’re right. Am I supposed to think anyone would stand up to him based on the law? Have they stood up to him at any point when he violated the law?
When he changed Obamacare at will, bypassing Constitutioal rules regarding who makes the laws, he got a free pass.
No, I don’t see him being taken to task no matter what he does. If arming terrorists around the world who hate us won’t land him in hot water, what will making millions of them citizens change?
We’re all one big happy family these days.
Muslim Brotherhood, al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah... some of each of these groups are part of those coming across our southern border. Others are merely being allowed to come here and stay.
Warn him? Seriously, does anyone take the media or our federal government serious any longer? It has betrayed us. It has sold us out. It has spent us into oblivion. It now turns a blind eye as members of one race attack members of other races at will.
What’s left to do, other than line people up and execute them. Oh never-mind, that can be handled by the roving gangs. Never-mind...
Hagan and Pryor are political history anyway. They know they are politically doomed.
Isn’t Hagan leading in the polls?
is she? Polls are liars.
This is all for the folks back home.
All politics. These Dems don’t give a whit about America.
I write my Representative all the time and let him know that he’s earning my vote based on his legislative actions. he’s a good guy that well represents his constituents and I think most of the correspondence that he gets from his constituents reflect that. If that correspondence were to suddenly turn sour over one issue right before an election, I suspect that he would become quite responsive.
Sounds like a good Rep.
I live in MA. For many of our Reps, it’s hopeless. Depends on which county you’re in, and who you’ve got.
