The conversation between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Barack Obama was tense and tough, according to a report on Channel 1 Tuesday evening.
Based on a transcript of the conversation, obtained by Israel’s channel 1, Obama “behaved in a rude, condescending and hostile manner,” the network’s foreign correspondent concluded.
During the 35-minute conversation on Sunday, the president reportedly demanded that Israel should immediately and unconditionally end the operation.
When Netanyahu asked what Israel would get in return for unilaterally ending the strikes, Obama replied: “I believe Hamas will stop firing rockets – quiet in return for quiet.” To which Netanyahu responded that Hamas has already violated 5 cease-fires and is committed to the destruction of Israel.
“I repeat and expect Israel to stop all of its actions against Hamas in Gaza,” Obama said. He added that despite Netanyahu’s objections the United States trusts Qatar and Turkey’s mediation. “Israel is not in a situation that it can choose its mediators,” the president told his Israeli counterpart.
Netanyahu in response: “Hamas will continue firing rockets on Israel and use their tunnels to attack our people.”
At this point, Obama interrupted the Israeli leader, stating, “the ball is in Israel’s court, and it must end all military activities.”
further, he wears a ring with the first part of the muslim credo of faith on it, in arabic. second he says the sweetest sound on earth is the muslim goat strangle call to prayer.
there is no real christian who believes and does this.
Wow. Obama has abandoned the only democracy in the Mideast. Pray for Israel.
third no real christian would state that america is an islamic country and that muslims have helped to build the foundation of this country.
Why does any president ever need to make phone calls to any foreign leader like this over matters such as this, anything they say should always be public and plain spoken.
Only in cases of severe urgency or secrecy shoudl phone calls ever be made that are “private” and even then they should be ALWAYS be recorded by both sides for history purposes and for auditing purposes, and they should be relesed after a certain prescribed period of time.
The LA Slimes probably destroyed it a long time ago..but someone, maybe someone with a conscience, must have made a copy just in case they wanted to release it in the future. Someone should become an intern at the Slimes, integrate with them, and try to get that darn tape!
Good points. He could have droned on and on. Like he would care if the conversation wasn’t a conversation at all, but a rambling broken record of talking point BS.
At some point within the first couple minutes, though, you’d expect that Netanyahu would have hung up. Since he didn’t (if the report is true), he must have just set the phone down and left for lunch.

Obama knows the history of Hamas. They were quiet little angels just busying themselves improving the lot of the Gaza Palestinians before those Joos went ape on them.
