As it has for decades, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last week released its annual National Health Interview Survey on the health of Americans. But this year, there was a difference: For the first time, the respondents were asked about their sexual orientation.
Of 34,557 adults ages 18 and older, the survey reported, 1.6 percent said they were gay or lesbian. Some critics say the numbers are low, but they fall in the range of other surveys. In the new survey, however, only 0.7 percent of respondents described themselves as bisexual; other studies have reported higher numbers.

Gotta pump up those gay numbers so you can justify them ruining America.
Approximately 49% of Americans are afraid to admit they’re gay. <— liberal interpretation, coming up.
As someone pointed out, if it was natural we would have gone extinct long ago.
Minorities Rule
“Then why the hell are they do dammed effective in causing so many of us so much damn grief!”
Because they are drama queens. That’s one reason you traditionally kept them out of the military.
Mrs WBill has a fair number of gay friends and acquaintences leftover from college. Most of them are older (now...along with the rest of us :-) ) so they're not militant, young, and angry. Their attitude is, roughly, "I'm gay. So what. If you don't like it, that's your problem." Frankly, I get along OK with most of them. We don't have much in common; I don't necessarily approve of their lifestyles, but they're not unpleasant to make small talk with for brief periods I see them at get-togethers.
However....
There's a small subset of this group who I'd call "Flaming Drama Queen Attention Whores". Nothing is too outrageous. They proudly portray every negative gay stereotype that there is. I'm convinced, after hearing about them (and seeing them) for a number of years that their actions are a conscious decision. A flamboyantly gay lifestyle is a way to get more attention, without losing any social status. And - if there was a way to get even *more* attention (without losing any status), they'd drop the whole gay thing and pursue that instead.
I can't stand these few people. Mrs Wbill says that watching them is like watching a train wreck. Honestly, I wish she'd cut them all loose as I like her friends from church a whole lot more. I suppose that she doesn't approve of my old drinking buddies from way back when either....
Just my $0.02. YMMV.
CDC says 2.3%. Prob somewhere in the middle. At any rate, far less than what the gay community says and FAR less then most people think because of there incredibly loud mouths.
And yet we endure a confused character on every single TV show and movie.
Gotta love it, only not.
I want “White Conservative History Month”, a guaranteed token white conservative invited on every show on every network, my own flag (Gadsden comes to mind), special parade privileges, and reparations for having to put up with all the stupid crap we’re being fed these days.
What part of the General Population they are doesn’t matter.
What does matter is that they now make up 50-60%, or more, of today’s US mainstream media, where they now control the organs of propaganda.
>> only THINK they are
Similar thought crossed my mind. Curious about the percentage that act out homosexual behavior to exclude the random trials.
How do they find so much freakin’ time to make other’s lives miserable? Don’t they have other things to do?
And how do they have so much money to spend promoting their sin?
so, does a bi-sexual count on the gay side ?
an where does Anne Heche fit in ?
90% of the TV weathermen in the Twin Cities market are light in the loafers.
“...How Many Americans Are Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual? ...”
5. No, wait, it’s 7...
Yeah.. it’s definitely maybe 7.
We knew all along liberals were lying when they said 10%... they’re lying about global warming too.
Because gay rights activists are largely supported by heterosexual advocates of sexual disorder: contraceptors, sterilizers, aborters.
Gay bacon, lettuce & tomatoes?
