t seems like just about every week Trey Gowdy is in the news as he fights the good fight against Obama and the liberals.
Hes been relentless going after the administration on Benghazi and other scandals, and calling out Democrats like Nancy Pelosi on their mind-numbing stupidity. Gowdy has also announced support for a lawsuit against Obama for failing to do his basic executive duties.
Hes now got another suggestion to rein in this reckless administration: Defund Obamas vacations as a punishment for executive overreach. Awesome.

How about finding out who he had with him on Air Force 1 when he buzzed New York City at the beginning of his first term?
Just another question journalists don’t want to find answers to.
TREY FOR PRESIDENT! Or at least a special prosicutor! I bet he will be political Chuck Norris to Obama.
It’ll never happen. Lindsey Graham would raise the money himself to make sure Obama has many vacations.
I disagree with this. Defund programs like Obamacare and some EPA and Education stuff. Impeach him. Let’s get serious.
Seriously? Defund the Prez’s vacations? Not impressed. The country’s going by way of a handbasket and he wants to defund a few million dollars? Seems petty to me. But when you have an AWOL opposition party and leader, you’ll take what you can get.
Marry me, Trey!
He is taken.

Love his dogs names, Judge, Jury and Bailiff.
:)
Yep, I think exactly the same way. Its entertaining for sure.
Maybe he's auditioning for a AM radio talk show host job for when leaves congress.
Then he can say that he mans the last line of defense like another one on talk radio does.
Obama should be shamed for the lavish vacations. Where is the media? Document what is going on.
He is living like a monarch.
Stupid stuff like this will never happen, and you know it.
Now that could put bow-boy in a VERY bad mood. In fact so bad, while stomping his feet he might break a foot. A very unhappy dude. How else could he find time away from his adoring ‘family’?
Want on or off this ping list of 50+ (and growing) FReepers? Just drop me a FReep mail.
Thinking about that flight just the other day. Who was in the plane and what were they actually doing? Needless to say he was up to no good.
While he is at it defund mooch’s clothing binges! #12 K for a dress while we have Veterans going hungry and with out medical care is worthy of treason.
The way I understand the system, House of Rep’s initiates all spending bills. So they can affect all future spending. But they can not re-write laws already passed by both House & Senate and signed by president.
For example take social security spending. The law stipulates payroll tax rates and benefit amounts for retiree’s. Those numbers will continue until a new law is passed. House can not arbitrarily stop paying SS benefits all by themselves.
So the House can cut Obummer’s vacation appropriations for any future period. What is already appropriated in a law already passed can not be reversed without senate going along and Obummer signing the change.
Awesome would be an understatement.
But since Obama seems to have all the keystones of government under his control, what's to prevent him from flipping both Congress and the country another "bird." an ignoring any new restrictions?
A constant irritant for me, as a citizen and lifelong working net taxpayer, was the hundreds of $millions (billions$ ?) That Hillary handed out as she flew round the world for however many years. For what exactly? where did that money come from? Who, if anyone, had oversight over that?
A pen, a telephone, the MSM and a bottomless purse.
Sweet!
So just how does the House de-fund anything when they have already passed a two year budget deal earlier this year?
BUMP to your entire thread!
There’s going to be no de-funding of anything connected with Obama. That will wait for the next Republican president.
Nods. Any de-funding needs to be passed by the Senate and signed by Obama right now. Furthermore, the House cannot even shut the government down or impose a debt limit, because they've already passed the legislation kicking that down the road. All this de-funding talk is just talk. :-(
