Unlike many of his Republican colleagues, Karl Rove advocated Thursday for bipartisan compromise on immigration.
Republicans have to look at this as an opportunity that they have to work, the Republican strategist said on the Fox News program Happening Now.
Its an opportunity to get some things done to help secure the border.
He suggested that in working with President Barack Obamas $3.7 billion request for additional funds to deal with the current immigration crisis, Republicans could make policy gains like increasing the amount of border patrols.
They ought to sit down in good faith, he said of Republicans and the administration.
For Obamas part, Rove recommended flexibility on what the president expected Congress to give him.
I hope the president isnt stuck in the mud on, I have to have $3.7 billion, and the Republicans shouldnt feel compelled to give it to him.

No, Karl, no. He can work with us. We all know that is not going to happen.
I’d like to try something. Having a voice recording of Porky the Pig playing while Rove is on tv and have Rove muted LOL.
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponents Argument
If Obama guard dog Karl Rove wants GOP to work with Obama on immigration then he first needs to do the following.
Since the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate immigration, immigration a 10th Amendment-protected state power issue, Rove needs to encourage Congress to propose an immigration amendment to the Constitution to the states. And if the states choose to ratify Rove's amendment then the feds will have the power to regulate immigration and Rove will be a hero.
Laura Ingraham downplaying a Ted Cruz run in 2016. Apparently the establishment would ‘crush’ him in Florida. Has she been hanging with Ann Coulter?
The pool of halfway decent conservative commentators is becoming a puddle.
Next the GOPIGGY will suggest sensible policies like adopting a maximum wage of 50 cents an hour in blue collar occupations to replace current minimum wage laws along with minimum interest rates, say 10%, to be charged by banks on home mortgages and consumer loans, 25% on credit cards, and a maximum rate on savings accounts of, say minus 1%. The peasants should consider themselves honored for their lordships to be accepting their deposits.
“Fox News has been consistent in promoting amnesty.”

explains that one.$$$$$$$$$
Are they serious? Rove is just the mouthpiece for the entire freakin Republican Establishment. They all advocate caving in on amnesty.
Shut the hell up Rove!
Rove must be blackmailed himself.
Rove: 2014 +: Rove ...you STUPID bastard!

Yeah, why would ANY one trust OBAMA to do ANYTHING?
He is singularly the most untrustworthy person to occupy the Oval Office.
This rove creep is such a appeasing loser.
He is wrong.
I just hate it when talking heads run with the days meme. Obama doesn’t understand the meaning of the word ‘compromise’. He has not reached across the aisle to come to any agreement on policies. He has NEVER tried to form any relationship with the loyal opposition who have honest disagreements with his ideology since he uttered the words, “I won.” January 23, 2009
Karl Rove doesnn’t want compromise. He wants as many illegals as he can get. It would not be a terrible surprise if the President were to use an EO to declare all Latin Americans to be US Citizens with the right to vote in US elections.
Anyone foolish enough to support the GOP with money...
Rove is out of his mind. Just as another article pointed out it would cost
99% less to buy plane tickets back to where they came.
Send the back.
But no to 3.7 billion.
