Washington (CNN) - Expanding his IRS investigation by more than two decades, House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa, R-California, has sent a subpoena to the Federal Elections Commission for all communications involving former IRS administrator Lois Lerner from January 1, 1986 to the present day.
This new search is the broadest-yet for records in a year-long investigation by Issa and congressional Republicans, who are trying to assess why the agency targeted tea party and other political groups for extra scrutiny.

And until they use it, THEY are the problem in DC.
None of these things would be happening if Issa hadn’t kept after it.
I understand, but it is amazing how many people do argue it. Openly and forcefully when every bit of evidence shows that the stuff we are discussing is reality.
But if they admit it they have to also admit the GOP is not what they claim to be...and their lifetime of allegiance to it falls apart. The adult version of no Santa Claus
So they blame the people that see this stuff for what it is because Santa is real dammit.
Issa must be taking his cue from Gowdy who did an excellent job of examining O’Connor. The IRS used search terms to narrow down the number of emails captured. Gowdy said that was for the benefit of IRS to reduce the volume of emails to examine. Gowdy asked why not just use two simple search terms: From Lois Lerner and To Lois Lerner. That way, you capture everything.
They can arrest Lois Lerner and Eric Holder for contempt of Congress.
Instead, they’re giving all of them the chance to spout off crap like Bill Ayers:
“Guilty as hell. Free as a bird. What a country!”
Until they start making arrests, the “investigations” are a sick joke. It’s no wonder the guilty creeps are smug on the stand. I wonder how they keep from laughing, to be truthful.

Maybe they should subpoena records from the NSA, if they want to squeeze her into talking.
Issa needed to find a way to get these hearings extended out beyond November, to save the Dems.. Oh, and out beyond 20 Jan 2017 as well..
As long as Eric Holder owns the Justice Department, Issa's hands are tied behind his back and he is strapped to a chair and gagged.
Only Eric Holder can act on any of the committee recommendations and he's not going to do anything and he isn't going anywhere.
Do the Democrats have a version of the Tea Party? At least we try to correct it.

Heck, the dems already called the entire IRS scandal a phony scandal and a witch hunt in the first place. Lois Lerner is a witch and they know it. No downside here.
