On Tuesday, The Daily Callers Mirror blog reported that Alaskan Republican Rep. Don Young was clowning around on the House floor during the naming of a post office. He stuck his fingers in his ears and made funny faces, much like Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble on The Flintstones. Post office namings, as you might imagine, are not terribly exciting legislative moments in Washington.
But this one actually meant something.
Rep. Scott Garrett (R-N.J.) sponsored the bill to honor a fallen solder.

Impeach for violating the No Funny Faces During Post Office Naming rule!
I’d guess he wasn’t paying as much attention as he could.
Recall the sumbitch.
If he cannot restrain himself, in the honoring of a deceased military member, who gave his life for that twerp to be as insolent as he was, he deserves to be recalled, and stripped of his office.
Active Duty ping. Weird action from my Representative. I call on Don Young to explain himself.
All democrats and a large majority of DC republicans need to go. They just suck.
we really are mostly represented by scumbags, losers, and criminals. I’m so sick of politicians...
You can’t recall federally elected officials. However, Young has been in the House for 41 years, and it’s way past time to send him packing.
Although I guess I missed the part about them having to read everything about obamacare while in session.
Young is finished. That photo can be blown up into a full sized campaign poster by a TP primary candidiate and captioned: “Time to send an adult to Washington.”
Don Young is a big spending, open borders RINO.
He did a 180 on his entire pro border record because he unfortunately used the term “wetbacks”. His premise was true though that cheap Mexican workers were less needed with mechanization.

With negotiations over comprehensive immigration reform continuing over the Easter state work period, Alaskas Congressional Delegation is weighing in on the matter in a letter (attached) to leaders in both chambers, citing Alaskas historic commitment to diversity and inclusion as the spirit to be kept in mind as the process moves forward.
Leading with an allusion to Elizabeth Wanamaker Peratrovichs successful fight for equality during the 1940s, and pointing out that Alaskas civil rights movement preceded the national cause by roughly a generation, Senators Lisa Murkowski and Mark Begich and Representative Don Young wrote that the 49th state may be considered the reddest of states by national political observers, but the reality on the ground shows it to be a state that is highly diverse in population, culture and tradition.
The delegation closes with a call to action for party leaders, asking for a three-pronged approach to be considered as discussion continues on the issue, including border security and enforcement, efficiency and well-crafted policy that is forward-looking:
Inspired by the words of our First Alaskans, and deeply committed to an inclusive state and nation, we join today to express our hope that the bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform bill being drafted by our colleagues be brought to the floor of our respective bodies for consideration this session. Like our colleagues drafting the bill, we believe this legislation should secure our border, streamline our legal immigration system and provide a clear and responsible path to citizenship for those already here.
This is something the media will be all over because he’s a Republican. If it was a Democrat, it would never be mentioned at all.
based on the photo he’s either- drunk, high on pot, mentally ill or all three
Active Duty ping. Weird action from my Representative. I call on Don Young to explain himself.
May I respectfully suggest calling on him with a bunch of Vets carrying baseball bats?
Don’t give a damn that he’s an R and ostensibly a Vet - you don’t pull that crap. Ever. If he’s too senile to understand that, he should step down.
Poster boy for why we need term limits.
Apparently he doesn’t have a lot to do. Easy job.
The jackass aspect is not quite as bad as the RINO aspect.
