let’s deal with reality
there is a reason for immigration laws
don’t come here illegally
Past and recent history shows that promoting amnesty promotes illegal behavior.
Hey Sheldon. Let’s just follow the rules we have now and start sending them back. Others will leave on their own.
You can keep your Country. Period.
You can keep your jobs. Period.
Actually this reminds me exactly of the discussion before ramming 0bamacare thru.
I guess he needs a bunch of immigrants willing to work in his casinos for low wages. What an @sshole.
Imagine. Condoning lawlessness and declaring himself a Republican in the same sentence. If that is the case, then there really isn’t any difference between Democrats and Republicans, is there?
The two excuses: 1) we’re all humans here, and 2) there simply isn’t a process to deport 11 million people are ludicrous.
“We’re all humans here...” is just an excuse for “I want to take your rights and sovereignty away so I can FEEL better,” and a willful attempt irreparably harm our own support systems.
And, as far as no system to deport 11 million illegals goes, there was a system to allow them in, it is incumbent to reverse that system, prevent more entry, and to prosecute those who hire and support the illegals as well as completely stopping entitlements to them. That done, they will self-deport.
No surprise here. Of course he’s for cheap labor.
The problem is well analyzed and noted. Unfortunately, the treacherous tyrant in the White House will not enforce any laws he deems unacceptable.
Until he is gone or perhaps exiled, the piling on of a new law serves no useful purpose.
The U.S. doesn't need to deport 11 million people. Simply deport them as the opportunity arises, and make sure the others are treated appropriately under the law. For years, my suggestion has been that at a bare minimum: (1) illegal immigrants charged with crimes should be subject to military trials as invaders, not criminal trials in U.S. courts; and (2) illegal immigrants should have no standing in the civil courts of this country (i.e., they can't file civil lawsuits and they are subject to default judgments if they are the defendants in civil lawsuits).
So Sheldon, you’re willing to kill the culture?
It’s already on life-support, but now you want to pull the plug? Damn RINO pig!
My mother (Spanish born, raised in Mexico) escaped the Socialist & corrupt to the core $hithole that México is. She hated that culture, she hated the corruption, she despised the ineptness of just getting anybody to do anything (everything moves slow)-—oh but they work sooooo hard right?
Idiots like you want to bring this culture, that so many Cubans and other Hispanics have run away from right here. Once America is gone it’s not coming back. These new “republicans” that you want won’t ever be conservative—they want their freebees and stuff. That’s it!
Cicero was right about the enemy within the wall being more dangerous. You, and every RINO in the Senate & House are more dangerous than Al Qaeda could ever be.
Let's deal with reality and call immigration reform what it really is, amnesty -- a reward for lawbreakers, a grab for cheap votes, a grab for slave labor, a grab for people who will support political corruption and Big Government.
But we can send the National Guard to Iraq and Afghanistan and try to build democracies among Muslims. Why not put the National Guard on our own border? Or start flying Military transports full of the children down to Central America?
First Rupert Murdoch, now Sheldon Adelson. Sheesh. They are really getting desperate now that they’re losing this battle.
Probably could do everything needed with laws already on the books. If you wanted to be especially kind, you could give a bit of warning beforehand, but in essence, you simply use existing fines against any company who hires illegal aliens. You use existing penalties for those who fail to report salaries and pay payroll taxes. You use existing rules that forbid conducting a business as an illegal alien.
You use all those agents who were hired to go annoy Americans over PelosiCare, and you use them to shut down hundreds of thousands of gardening businesses, construction subcontractors, cleaning subcontractors, etc. You send agents into the swap meets and shut down those who don't pay taxes on sales, or if the state collects sales taxes, who fail to pay sales taxes.
That 11 million (which is likely half the actual number) will quickly dwindle down to 5 million in just a couple years or so. But don't be overly concerned about those 5 million, likely they will have already started the process of dealing with their legal status - again, mostly using existing laws.
Amnesty has been tried, it didn't solve the problem, it created a bigger problem and even more illegals who flaunted their status. Thousands of Americans have been killed since the last round of amnesty by illegals. Millions have had their jobs affected by illegals. Millions have paid more for homes because of the illegals, millions have paid far more for their insurance because of illegals.
Amnesty isn't the solution - less than half of those who qualified for amnesty never even bothered to start the process. Why bother? If you do, you have to pay money, spend time, then pay taxes, then pay for insurance, then pay for registrations for cars and payroll taxes and sales taxes and everything else.
Let's take for example Jose. He's run a gardening business maintaining commercial and city greenspace landscape for the past 25 years. His yearly commercial contracts are worth close to a million dollars, and he pays 25 people to handle those contracts and also residential service. He has no worry about anyone challenging his contracts, because anyone who did would have to have worker's comp insurance, pay payroll taxes, pay taxes on their profits, pay sales taxes on their equipment, pay property taxes on the tools used for their trade. Worst that Jose has to bother with is a quick stop at a payphone to report an employee to ICE if they start to give him hassles for anything.
There are tens of thousands of Jose's out there. They are the engine of the underground economy. Jose's brother runs a construction firm which handles framing contracts. His cousin runs a firm that handles concrete forms for freeway and parking lot construction, another cousin handles subcontracts for workman's comp claims. A niece owns a nice chain of liquor stores. They pay cash for their purchases, and constantly evade taxes and fees that competing businesses must pay.
Millions of jobs, big and small, that could be opened up for, oh gosh, you know, those tens of millions of Americans who would like to find a job. Millions of entry level jobs which our youth are locked out of. Millions of Americans who find themselves at a disadvantage in the job market because they might lack the skills at speaking Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese or other language requirements to speak to the mostly illegal staff or subcontractors.
And anyone who actually, seriously intends on enforcing the existing laws will actually pick up that vaunted ‘Hispanic’ vote. Because THAT vote is the one that is proud to be American, who is sick and tired of explaining to the counter worker that no, they don't speak Spanish, don't need a translator, don't need Spanish forms. Who are tired of pressing 1 for English. And who will most directly benefit from the first wave of actual enforcement of immigration laws.
Absolutely...100% border security by the military and no more foreign immigration until 2025!!!
Outstanding post !
“Lets face it, the United States does not have a processreal or imaginableto deport 11 million people from within our borders.”
