People either love Chick-Fil-A or hate it ever since the companys president, Dan Cathy, espoused his religious beliefs regarding same-sex marriage. But love-it-or-hate-it, Chick-Fil-A seems to consistently go well-above the call of duty for good, upstanding Americans and the communities surrounding each restaurant.
The town of Griffin, Georgia was mourning the loss of Police Officer Kevin Jordan who was killed in the line of duty. According to Mad World News, Jordan was shot five times in the back while trying to make an arrest at a local Waffle House. He was an Army veteran, a dedicated member of the police force, and a father of seven children. police-officer-kevin-jordan-griffin-police
As officers from around the state of Georgia joined local residents last Monday to pay their respects to Jordan, Chick-Fil-A honored the serviceman in a unique way: the local Griffin Dwarf House location placed a notification at their drive-thru window informing local customers that as a sign of respect for the fallen the restaurant would not be serving during the time Jordans funeral precession was passing the restaurant.
Though seemingly small, it was a gesture that Chick-Fil-A took to show the community, Jordans family, and the world that people are what truly matter. Its one more reason we continue to fall in love with Chick-Fil-A all over again.
And the liberal’s hate him why? ...: )
It is still a favorite place to eat whenever they come here or we go visiting grandbabies there.
Because they’re liberals.....and liberals hate anything and anyone they don’t understand.
I told a bartender at my pub that my father passed away, and later the owner came down and told her that everything is on the house. I was so shocked that I drank fewer beers than usual, and he and his staff made double back in Christmas gifts.
This decision was likely done by the local franchisee. I bet he had support from the corporation, though.
With all due respect, I believe this has more to do with old-fashioned respect for those people that serve and protect us, than with any religious traditions. It's a shame that my generation (Baby-Boomers) has made this simple show of respect into an aberration in 21st Century United States.
There’s a lot of good people still.
We here and see so much crap and insanity everyday, that we sometimes lose sight of how much good there really is.
Very Sorry to hear about the loss of your Papa. That’s a very difficult thing. Lost mine when I was 15, and not a day goes by I don’t think about him.
‘cuz he’s a Christian.
Next question?
The corp website and wiki say their retail locations are 100% company owned.
Can you provide a link about the franchises?
I’ve looked into getting one and was told their business model is different.
Good point, I’m sure respect for LEO’s who try to do their best at a tough job played a role in this, you’re absolutely right, it seems there’s not much to be proud of being a “boomer” myself.
And the liberals hate him why? ...: )
Because he is a good man. Liberal hate anyone who is not as evil as they are.

What corporate site were you looking at? This one certainly suggests that it is a franchise deal.
Hezekiah Jordan, son of fallen Griffin
I hope they come to the People’s Soviet of Washington State some time soon, the Snohomish Oblast, especially.
What I gather is that the corporate culture permeates.
