It's "little" things such as this that establish a brand and undying customer loyalty. It should be surprising that more businesses don't think of it.

I told a bartender at my pub that my father passed away, and later the owner came down and told her that everything is on the house. I was so shocked that I drank fewer beers than usual, and he and his staff made double back in Christmas gifts.

There’s a lot of good people still.

We here and see so much crap and insanity everyday, that we sometimes lose sight of how much good there really is.

Very Sorry to hear about the loss of your Papa. That’s a very difficult thing. Lost mine when I was 15, and not a day goes by I don’t think about him.
