In a presser now underway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has announced that Louisiana is withdrawing from Common Core. Jindal was one of the first governors to sign onto Common Core but has since soured on the concept. Hopefully, more governors will follow Jindal and withdraw. Common Core, whatever its alleged virtues, is focused on training compliant workers not engaged citizens.
Good Jindahl and Louisianna!
Jindals parents were immigrants from India. He was born in Baton Rouge.
RE: Jindals parents were immigrants from India. He was born in Baton Rouge.
Yes, I know that. But some “purists” in FR insists that to be “Natural Born” based on the “Original Meaning” of the Framers, BOTH your parents have to be American Citizens at the time of your birth.
The arguments go back and forth and there’s no resolution to this.
Bobby Jindal will be the Republican nominee for Vice President in 2016 and the Presidential nominee in 2024.Why wait until 2024? I'm praying [and praying] his name is on the ticket [and he wins!] in 2016. Go, Bobby, Go!
The question is why he signed onto CC in the first place.
bttt

True Piyush Jindal was born in BR to parents who arrived about five months prior to his
birth to attend LSU. They weren’t US citizens so we’ll have that debate about elgibility
should he choose to run.
Days Apart, Two States Opt to Replace Common Core
By Andrew Ujifusa
The political turbulence surrounding the Common Core State Standards intensified in recent weeks as the governors of Oklahoma and South Carolinaless than a week apartsigned legislation requiring their states to adopt new standards replacing the common core, and legislators in North Carolina advanced bills to require that state to revise its already-adopted standards.

A majority of the governors are Republican. They can end common core if they really want to.
Mr WHITE JUST TOLD HIM “NO”. This should be very interesting. Jindal is now “on record” as opposed. Set up in place for throwing hat inring?
Skeptical? You bet...
If that is the definition of "natural born", then none of the first 9 presidents of the US were natural born, since there was no USA for them to be citizens OF at the time of their birth.
Quite simply, anyone born in the US or its territories is considered a natural-born citizen. Where the question arises is in the case of a child born outside of the US to one or more parents that are US citizens. The child is a citizen of the US by virtue of his parents, but is he a "natural born" citizen? Some argue that because the child born overseas to an American parent would not be a citizen except for his parent, he is not a "natural born" citizen. On the other hand, a child born in the US is a citizen regardless of the citizenship of his parents - his US citizenship is not dependent upon his parents citizenship, and so he would be "natural born".
I'm not saying that is the correct answer, just pointing out some potential arguments. However, there is no question about whether or not Jindal is "natural born". Ted Cruz, there may be a question. But it is ultimately a political question and not a legal question, as we saw with Obama.
they can do almost anything they want to actually. they just don’’t want to. they didn’t want to defend their people against illegal invasions, they didn’t want to ensure legal citizen voting, they did not want to ensure frauds stayed off their ballots. They didn’t want to stand up to fed courts that usurp their constitutional authority.
And a few thousand other things.
Now get out there and elect more of them no matter what because you love Obama and hate America unless you do!
Tell the truth about Common Core and most teachers and principals hate it. After they’ve had to deal with for a bit, they despise it.
Washington CANNOT make a general plan that fits everyone, any more than Soviet Russia was able to predict the proper styles and shoes for women in their old command economy.
Education is local.
We need to lose our defeatist attitudes. We’re winning, but it’s going to be a long, long war. I think Millenials will turn out to be surprisingly conservative and Constitutionally minded.
He followed Oklahoma apparently......
EXCELLENT!
Good for Governor Jindal and the Louisiana children.
The would disappoint a few malcontents around here who say he's "RINO scum". They backed RINO Vance McCallister in his special election win over conservative Republican State Senator Neil Riser, simply because Jindal endorsed Riser. Talk about morons.
