In a presser now underway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has announced that Louisiana is withdrawing from Common Core. Jindal was one of the first governors to sign onto Common Core but has since soured on the concept. Hopefully, more governors will follow Jindal and withdraw. Common Core, whatever its alleged virtues, is focused on training compliant workers not engaged citizens.
Teachers hate it: 24/7/365 paperwork and illogical evaluations
Principals hate it: 24/7/365 paperwork
Students hate it: seems like weekly standardized national testing...in fact, invasive screenings
Battle victory, now let’s win the war!
Jindal got a clue; good
Jindal is pretty bright. He can now tell you why it goes wrong.
Bobby Jindal will be the Republican nominee for Vice President in 2016 and the Presidential nominee in 2024.
He's certainly shown himself to be a leader, IMHO.
Good for him! Common Core is nothing but doctrination and dumbing down the youth of this country. Makes it easier to control the masses.
Good. He gets a notch on the handle for that. I hope more follow his lead.
Awesome.

another point for jindel
Good move, Bobby.
Congrats! Gov. The propaganda should be disbanded throughout the nation...(what’s left of it). Wary of DC attempting to ‘run’ anything. They have shown time and and again they are totally incapable. The proper wording should to ‘ruin everything’
school choice, let the money follow the student. Give each student 10,000 to spend, taxpayers save, kids win, unions lose.
Finally, a true leader.
He’s a lousy public speaker, but the more I learn of Jindal’s actions the more I am impressed.
Well, that’s two states now ( I know Oklahoma just did ).
Who’s next?
And oh, BTW, how’s this going to affect them in terms of Federal funding?

AHEM, I see a debate about being NATURAL BORN a comin’
Proud of my governor.
