Ya know, after taking fair and accurate shots at The Clown AND Hitlery....all in a week, I am considering subscribing to MAD magazine....
For those of you who may not get the joke, there is a current sitcom called "2 Broke Girls"...

When Richard Nixon was bugging out of Vietnam (basically surrendering), he called it “peace with honor.”
In a piece on significant dates in American history, MAD said,
“April 9, 1865 — Confederate States of America achieve peace with honor.”

“Wow, MAD is about to get audited...”
Can they plead insanity. This seems like it would be a plausible defense...

Last week, I actually found two back issues of MAD in the exam room's magazine rack in my old doctor's office. One dating back 20 years.
He retired last fall. I'm going to miss that man.

I wanna work for Mad Magazine when I grow up!! I miss the MAD I grew up reading from the 1960's. Gaines was still alive and running it and most of the original crew was still there even well into the 1970's. No adds either. They used to put out paperbacks also. If you go to a second hand book store look in the humor section some are still around. Their parody of Bonanza was a classic.
