Dave Brat has a big lead over Cantor right now...only %40 of the vote left to count and he's got a huge lead 57-43
GOOOOOO BRAT!!! Let's hope he pull this out!
I bet that had to hurt the AP
Yes, VERY series! :-)

Let this Virginian say very late in the game......
Holy Crap!!!
The GOP-E Leadership in the US House, (Boehner, Cantor, and Ryan), is always gullible to Obama’s tricks. Consequently, Boehner, Cantor and Ryan, have all pledged to ram through this unpopular Obama Amnesty Bill due to Obama’s illegal decision to flood the USA with children from Mexico and Central America.
It is time to kick the GOP-E out of Congressional Leadership!
Cantor couldn’t.
By now you know Cantor lost, and lost by a good amount.
But Grahamnesty is the one at the top of my list and he won.,
I told you he is slick. He even dropped the I word the other day for the idiots. Now he is gloating. He knows exactly how to play the suckers.
GREENVILLE, S.C.Kicking the crap out of the Tea Party is the most fun Senator Lindsey Graham has ever had.
“More fun than any time I've been in politics,” Graham tells me at the YMCA here, where he's about to address a couple dozen supporters.
How Lindsey Graham Stomped the Tea Party :One of the Senate's most liberal Republicans is rolling to victory in one of the reddest states. Are other Republicans watching how he did it?(Atlanta Monthly 6/10/14)
Well, well, well...this just made my day! Didn’t the Cantor campaign recently leak a poll that showed him with a comfortable lead? Guess not. :)
I don’t understand how Gramnesty and McCain are reelected.
Just as with Obama, I can’t even stand listen to listen to these two non-conservative sovereignty stealing globalist corporatists. I must turn off the TV when they are on with their BS propaganda. Good riddance to Cantor too as he represented nothing positive for most Americans either.
Well, Palin helped Johnny over the finish line, foolishly.
As for Graham, it’s VERY simple. His opponents were too weak to beat him, PERIOD. You can’t beat something with nothing.
The main challenger was a controversial State Senator (who would have had no chance in a runoff anyway) and the others were a failed Congressional candidate and a collection of non-entities. Against a seasoned campaigner with a huge warchest and the entire party establishment in his corner, that is just plain not good enough.
This result was as expected as the sun rising this morning so I hope no one is unduly disappointed.
‘Well, Palin helped Johnny over the finish line, foolishly.’
I think you have your history wrong - she wasn’t picked as a VP candidate till after he was given the nomination by everyone else withdrawling after primaries in March. She wasn’t announced as I recall till late summer maybe ... August.
I don’t know what you are talking about but I was talking about Palin endorsing McCain in his 2010 Senate primary.
I was just over at the DUmp to see what they are saying about this. They claim that Cantor lost because a former Democrat opponent of Cantor was urging Democrats and Libertarians to cross over and vote for Brat. Any thoughts?
Blue blistering barnacles in a thundering typhoon !!!
Great news, thanks! Heard Dave Brat speak for 15+ minutes with Sean Hannity earlier tonight on Fox... I really liked what I heard from him. Brat sounds like a common sense free market grassroots Constitutional conservative. He doesn't refer to his ideology as "Tea Party".
Interesting he won this race with such little $$ (about $250,000 to Cantor's $5 million!), and with NO help from the big Tea Party groups, ie Tea Party Patriots, etc.
That’s good :)
Cantor ought to congratulate Brat and throw his support behind him.
Just like the Tea Party is supposed to do when they lose.
apologies I was thinking 2008
Eric Cantor is a waste of space who is helping to spearhead the GOP wing of amnesty for illegal immigrants. I’m happy to see him fall on his face in the primaries.
