Details in the Taliban-produced video that shows a U.S. Special Forces unit picking Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl from Taliban fighters in Afghanistan last week raise serious questions about the risks those Special Forces took on a supposedly dangerous mission into enemy territory.
Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck on Thursday described a conversation he had with a Special Forces source who said a number of things about the video don’t jibe with the training and tactics Special Forces units normally employ in a situation like the Bergdahl pickup.
“The guys I talked to … said, ‘what is happening here? This is so sloppy on our part,” Beck said. “How many rules were violated by us in this prisoner exchange?”
First, Beck said, his source told him that just the presence of a camera in a war zone at all would normally trigger a “shoot to kill” response. Insurgents use video of destroyed aircraft for propaganda purposes, the source said. That might mean the camera’s presence was approved beforehand. The source asked why the U.S. government would grant such approval.

The Taliban were probably told straight up that the military had a couple of dozen of drones targeting the area, if anything went wrong.
I can’t see the military doing this without an ability to respond and retaliate against anybody who thinks they could sabotage this.

The video is there simply because this was a political op. Because they thought this was a big political win for them they allowed the video so the Obama admin. would have pictures to go with all the glowing accolades they expected.
This goes to show how deeply, deeply out of touch the Obama administration is. How utterly devoid of American values this guy is.
So the “former” Taliban Muslim (with a newly-cut-off beard, now trimmed, now fully shaved, completely washed off, hair now cut/shaved off!) is all innocently cleaned up for Obama’s TV cameras, isn’t he?
Whether his bagmen dropped out duffel bags containing cash or other desirables while he was there, that trip is somehow connected to the exchange.
The Taliban knew that we were not aching to get this guy back; we had plenty of opportunities.
This video really makes it seem staged to me, more so than before.
The whole Berghdahl thing was a mask for something ELSE and of course, that something ELSE means money changed hands.
It was all to pat and stage managed to be just what it they tried to make it appear...

In the video, an Apache can be seen overhead, only shown for a moment. There were undoubtedly other assets in the area.
Bingo. CIA types ain’t exactly known for their rigid discipline in such situations. Also, given the fact the military kept advising against the swap (and wouldn’t risk SPECOPS assets on a deserter) they might not’ve been in the loop in the first place.
An ABC report showed a Vet describing the scene. He said the Americans shook hands with straight arms (no bend at the elbows), meaning they had hidden weapons under their sleeves. That made me wonder why a U.S. vet would give away such tactical info. Liberals . . .

And why couldn’t we carry guns like the terrorists did? Was this a suicide mission? Or just to show that Obama really believes in appeasement through capitulation?
