I can’t see the military doing this without an ability to respond and retaliate against anybody who thinks they could sabotage this.

In the video, an Apache can be seen overhead, only shown for a moment. There were undoubtedly other assets in the area.

An ABC report showed a Vet describing the scene. He said the Americans shook hands with straight arms (no bend at the elbows), meaning they had hidden weapons under their sleeves. That made me wonder why a U.S. vet would give away such tactical info. Liberals . . .

The Taliban knew they had such a great deal. If some young taliban had started to raise a fuss - taliban leaders would have shot him.

Think of it this way - if someone offered you 50 million dollars for the old rusted bike you have in the garage that you haven't gotten around to throwing out yet, WOULD YOU GIVE THE PERSON a hard time when they came with the cash? I'll bet they're still laughing about how stupid we are...
