A Washington state parent is speaking out after she was left stunned by a school awards ceremony that she said featured profanity, inappropriate jokes and a box of sex toys.
The parent, who sent an email to KOMO-TV, but wished to remain anonymous, said she was left in tears by what she witnessed when she accompanied her 17-year-old daughter to the event put on by Bellingham High School drama teacher Teri Grimes.
I sat there with my mouth open in shock and the final straw was when a joke was told on stage about a teacher, a lawyer and a priest on a plane, the unidentified parentwrote to KOMO. The plane was going down and the teacher says we have to save the children. The attorney says F*** the children! and the priest says OOOOH..Do we have time for that???
Thats when the parent says she left.
In her email to KOMO, she provided more details, saying vulgar language was used throughout the program and contended that some of the awards were inappropriate for children. One category she said was titled the horniest stud, and featured a box of sex toys as the prize. Another category was for the horniest girl,

I would remove my child, 17 or not, from that atmosphere and have them debriefed...the way a person rescued from a cult is un brainwashed. Then I would be sure to re train the morals of that daughter and point out the insanity of the teachers.
Disgusting behavior for people entrusted with teens...
This is the result of democrat rule aborting our taboo structure which made America a Great Nation, once upon a time. Make no mistake, the end of America as the Founders arranged it has been the agenda of those directing the democrap party for more than fifty years now. Evil saunters around America, unrecognized by the majority of the degenerate population. And by degenerate, I am referring to a society without a taboo structure to meld the people into a nation.
Many people see such institutions as vehicles to groom young sex partners.
Bellingham High School drama teacher Teri Grimes. Needs to be fired. Now. If true which it likely is. Got name, place and details. Let them know.
Well, I’m Catholic, but I still laughed at that joke.
Its wrong though, very wrong.
Not saying the joke doesn’t have some hint of humor in it somewhere, but it has no place at all in an awards ceremony at a school.
I mean wtf...lunacy.
And she’s for the ‘gentrification’ of the town center......i.e.......”hipsters”. *shiver*
“Well, Im Catholic, but I still laughed at that joke.”
OK, It’s a funny, if dirty, joke. But it is COMPLETELY inappropriate to tell such a joke in front of schoolchildren and their parents.
And I wouldn’t care if everyone in the room was over 18.
Time and place and all that.
I probably would have walked out too.
This is why we have government schools.
What a shock! /s
I notice the babygirl teenage voice on a fat old bag, "the tilted head of compassion", up-talking at the end of sentences, and a few Hillary-like mannerisms thrown in for emphasis.
I think teachers of children may need term limits.
This sounds pretty far beyond the pale; what’s up with Bellingham?
You may think you're Catholic; God knows otherwise.
What a degenerate sense of humor you have.
Hmm bummer she had to find out so late.
Get your kids out of the public/govt schools!! NOW!
This is a case begging for an exorcist. Seriously.
It’s astonishing, the level of depravity that has worked its way into once-normal, everyday venues. I always liked to compartmentalize these stories, and treat them as anomalies. But it’s become too overwhelming, and in the end, just shows what a vile, putrid sewer America is becoming. It sickens me to the core, seeing what this country is devolving to.
