The fathers of Winston Churchill, Charles de Gaulle, George Washington and Andrew Jackson may have already had beards but they probably let them get quite scraggly and didn’t groom them....

Just read the interview he gave after his son was released — some parts don’t read as a happy Father, more like trying to send messages to the Taliban/terrorists.
Not to mention his exclamations in Pashtu, while standing right next to Obama.

One theory is that the son was never a “prisoner” of the Taliban — actually the group where he was is listed as a terrorist organization, not “merely Taliban” — he joined them voluntarily and just pretended to be prisoner — the fact that he is not willing to talk English even now that “he is free” would lead one to wonder. Also, it is not impossible to believe that he and his friends have been in constant touch with his Father, another terrorist sympathizer and the Father was sending a message with his current statements.
I am afraid I may be closer to the truth, than I wish.

Seems that the “Berg” fathers have something in common.
Both support the killers/captors of their sons. One got lucky because of Obama’s cowardice. The other buried his son and blamed it on Bush.
At least Daniel Pearl died like a man while his wife wimped out like a typical liberal.
The “old American father” for so many kids today is gone. Cowardice, wimpiness, wacked out liberal/leftist views - they are what too many of our children are getting instead of a strong, patriotic, sane father, or mother, or both.
Just look at how Cindy Sheehan went “red” through the Castroit “Code Pink” and exploited her soldier son’s brave death for her own marxist career.
I’m proud of my soldier son (OIF, first in). His men counted on him in combat, and I counted on him when I went into cardiac arrest. His men were safe and I was saved.
Too bad the Nick Berg couldn’t count on his father to save him. Bergdahl is looking more like a pathetic reflection of his father. I feel sorry for him but I feel more sorrow and pain for those brave American soldiers, his friends, who died looking for his pathetic, cowardly ass.
It is a crying shame what America has become.
