DENVER (AP) Colorado's Civil Rights Commission on Friday ordered a baker to make wedding cakes for same-sex couples, finding his religious objections to the practice did not trump the state's anti-discrimination statutes.
The unanimous ruling from the seven-member commission upheld an administrative law judge's finding in December that Jack Phillips violated civil rights law when he refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple in 2012. The couple sued.
"I can believe anything I want, but if I'm going to do business here, I'd ought to not discriminate against people," Commissioner Raju Jaram said.

“Sorry, but we are booked solid.”
Next doctors and nurses will be forced to perform abortions.
You might be able to force him to comply, but you can’t make him do the job well. Personally, I don’t do business with anyone who doesn’t want it.
Commissioner Raju Jaram
He added his bakery has been so overwhelmed by supporters eager to buy cookies and brownies that he does not currently make wedding cakes.
The Lord looks after His own.
You might be able to force him to comply, but you can’t make him do the job well. Personally, I don’t do business with anyone who doesn’t want it. But then, this isn’t about equality, it’s about forcing the homosexual agenda down our throats.
Well, this is where we are today in America. You have to bake a homosexual wedding cake, photograph a homosexual wedding, etc. If you are in business, you have to cater to those of any lifestyle.
We’re not allowed to decline because of disagreeing with the lifestyle, or that homosexuality is against your religion.
That’s where we are.
Unconstitutional.
Time to quit making wedding cakes for anybody. Bake something else................
I don’t know if they should stand on principle or bake the perverts the crappiest cakes in history. I am starting to think the latter is the best idea.
Has anyone in this “commission” ever heard the expression:”you can’t beat a man at his own game.” There are a lot of ways around this but if I were the baker I would tell them to go pound cake.
An administrative law court can force you to give up your rights?
Since when?
America’s sheeple are to be SLAVES.
Slaves to the EXEMPT.
Slaves to the DO”J”.
Slaves to the corrupt.
SLAVES.
I see a re-education camp in his future.
If someone tells me they object to being paid to prepare food for me because there is something about me they do not like, then I absolutely do NOT want that person preparing food for me.
Is there only one bakery in Denver?
That’s kinda the downfall of the whole communist system, is it not?
You can force someone to perform, but there is no way they will perform the best they can under coercion.
Give them a written notice that 100% of the proceeds of their purchase shall be donated to a cause to cure sodomites of their perversion.
Use those terms.
The donation will be in their name.
