British girls are the fattest in Europe – almost a third are overweight or obese, says a study.

Girls under 20 top a league table of 22 nations in Western Europe, with 29.2 per cent being overweight and obese.

John Newton, chief knowledge officer at the government agency Public Health England, told The Times: "We have to look at the environment in which people are living, and the constant pressure to eat unhealthy food means things are particularly a problem for girls more than boys."

Can you believe this BS? Girls are fat because of fast food commercials, which impact them more than boys. I can't even begin to fathom the logic of this.

...only thing I can consider is activity level, many more boys are engaged in sports. Although that has nothing to do with unhealthy food and “constant pressure” being higher for girls.

Guess the study should have included American girls as well, they might have come out with a different winner.

Go to a mall and do some “people watching” some day, better yet, stop by your friendly Walmart. You want some really BIG ones, try a mall near the inner city (enough said, I rest my case)
