John Newton, chief knowledge officer at the government agency Public Health England, told The Times: "We have to look at the environment in which people are living, and the constant pressure to eat unhealthy food means things are particularly a problem for girls more than boys." Can you believe this BS? Girls are fat because of fast food commercials, which impact them more than boys. I can't even begin to fathom the logic of this.

...only thing I can consider is activity level, many more boys are engaged in sports. Although that has nothing to do with unhealthy food and “constant pressure” being higher for girls.
